Now shutdown the PC and insert the PCIexpress card into PCIe Slot and then Switch ON. F ound New
Hardware wizard will start and you have to select No, n ot th is time option.
Now select In s ta ll th e s oftwar e automatica lly (Re co mmen ded ) option and pressNext button to continue.

Click on Fin is h to complete the MosChip MCS9901 Peripheral Port installation.
F ollow the same above procedure to install the remaining MCS9901 peripheral ports.
6. Verifying Driver Installation
Please check the required configuration from Device Manager to confirm the proper installation.
F or Example proper detection of the MCS9901 PCIe Card (4 S erial) can be confirmed by viewing the
Device manager as shown below:

In the Device Manager Right Click on required Port and click on
Properties page.

Bits per Se con d selection is used to set the default Baud rate settings.
Data bits s elec tio n will have options 4,5,6,7 and 8 data bits.
Pa rity s elec tion will have Even,Odd, None, Mark and Space parity settings.
Stop bits s elec tio n will have 1,1.5 and 2 selections.
F low C ontro l s ele ction will have Xon_Xoff, Hardware and None settings.
If you want to change the Port Number click on
Number as shown below:

T he Driver TAB shows the details of Driver Provider, Driver Release Date, Driver version is installed
on your PC and Digital Signer details as shown above.
8. Serial Por t Features and Mode Changes
By default every serial Port will be in RS 232 Mode.
If you want to change it into RS 42 2 OR R S 48 5 Mode select the appropriate Radio button as shown
below:

9. Pa ralle l Po r t Feature s a nd Mo de Cha nge s
Parallel Port F eatures:
Parallel port will support SPP/CBF IF O/ECP/EPP modes. By default Parallel Port will be in AUTO
mode. In this mode, Parallel port mode will be automatically configured to the required mode after
handshaking with the connected device.
10 . Unin s ta lling Drive rs
To Uninstall MCS9901 drivers, run
OSCHIP_PCIeUninst.exe?file available in the driver disk.
Note: Make sure that you should uninstall any previous driver before installing updated drivers.
