About EAC
 The Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) is a delegated
body by the Board of Engineers Malaysia as the only
recognized accrediting body for engineering degree
programme offered in Malaysia.
 Civil Engineering programme in UTHM was accredited in
April 2011 and has been granted recognition for 5 years.
 According to EAC, the Industrial Training course must be
attended by third year students; therefore all students will
get involved with industries during training and will bring
back all the knowledge/information/networking/ problemrelated from industries to be used in the university for
research/final year project/ commercialization purposes.

EVALUATION OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
Assessment of students is based on several important
aspects during and after the training industry;
 Current (8 – 10 weeks) industry practice will be
evaluated on an ongoing basis by a supervisor (PI)
which is appointed by industry and evaluated once
by the faculty supervisor (PF) who are appointed by
the Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental
Engineering during a visit to the industry.
 After (1 weeks) the practical training will be
evaluated from the final report writing and
