2010-11 ANNUAL REPORT To Our Donors In a word – wow! At a time when philanthropic giving across the country was still recovering from pre-recession levels, the St.Vincent Foundation again beat all expectations – a record $8.2 million! And it is all thanks to you! Bob Costas interviews Kenny Chesney, Archie Manning and Peyton Manning during dinner at the 2011 Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Celebration of Caring Gala. I’d like to highlight some milestones that enabled the Foundation to surpass our fundraising goal by $1 million this year! • You! Our loyal, steadfast donors Mega gifts tend to make the news, but we think donors who give generously year after year are just as important. Annual gifts are the backbone of the St.Vincent Foundation and we thank you for making St.Vincent a priority in your yearly contributions. • 4th Annual Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent Celebration of Caring Gala If you missed it, you missed one fabulous night! Our largest, most talked about event in the history of the St.Vincent Foundation, featured music by Kenny Chesney at the newly opened JW Marriott. The event netted $1.2 million to benefit the Pediatric Supportive Care program at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent. • Corporate and Private Foundation Grants Local and national corporations and foundations contributed more than $900,000 in grants to support important programs and services including: Pediatric Supportive Care, breast cancer screenings for the underserved, St.Vincent Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center renovation and programs, St.Vincent Stress Center renovations, A-Fib Center of Excellence at the St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana and a dedicated teacher for the children at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent. • Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure benefiting the St.Vincent Foundation In its 4th year, this year’s black-tie gala raised over $480,000 for the fight against women’s cancers. Thanks to the leadership of Chairpersons Dr. Richard and Kelly Freeman and L.H. and Dianne Bayley, the 2010 fall gala was the highest grossing event yet! Rob Butler, Butler Hyundai, and Paul Lamb, Hyundai Regional Sales Manager, present a check benefiting the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent cancer research program for the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Program. Vince Caponi, St.Vincent Health CEO, and Danica Patrick, IndyCar Driver, enjoy the fashion show at the 2010 Saks Fifth Avenue Key to the Cure. Our supporters continue to amaze me. Our expectations for 2011-12 have been set even higher because there is so much important work to do at St.Vincent for our patients and for the community!
