Please follow all ODS Regulations for your area. 2 Questions & Answers Q. Is RED TEK 12a Refrigerant right for me? A. RED TEK 12a is a high performance, ultra efficient refrigerant engineered for customers demanding an environmental save, lower cost “recharge” and retrofit option. RED TEK 12a is designed as a direct drop in replacement for R134a and R-12 substitutes. RED TEK 12a refrigerant does not repair damaged or improper working a/c compressors and components. Attach Hose Coupler to low side service port of A/C system. 3 Invert RED TEK 12a can and fill A/C system to correct pressure or weight. 4 Apply RED TEK 12a identification decal (#113) in a highly visible area. Q. Do I need a license to use RED TEK 12a Refrigerant? A. No. RED TEK 12a Refrigerant is non ozone depleting and non global warming. Q. Do I need to retrofit my a/c system when using RED TEK 12a? A. No. RED TEK 12a is compatible with existing a/c oils, seals, and components. Q. Is RED TEK 12a really environmentally safe? 1 A. Yes. RED TEK 12a refrigerant is non-toxic, non-ozone depleting and non-global warming. Q. How can RED TEK 12a save me money? A. RED TEK 12a is designed to operate at lower “head pressures” compared to R134a. Lower “head pressures” can extend the life of expensive a/c equipment and components. RED TEK 12a refrigerant is up to 40% more efficient than R-134a refrigerant. Q. Do I need to evacuate my a/c system prior to using RED TEK 12a? A. All a/c systems containing global warming refrigerant such as R134a that can potentially harm our environment must be properly evacuated by certified personnel before using RED TEK 12a. However, if the refrigerant in the a/c system has leaked out or empty, evacuation of refrigerant from a/c system is not necessary. Q. Is RED TEK 12a refrigerant corrosive to my a/c system? A. No. RED TEK 12a refrigerant is non-corrosive, non-caustic and does not form acids in combination with system moisture. Note: Follow all O.D.S. regulations.
