Welcome
The Cruise Weekly/Travel Daily River Cruise Guide gives the latest information on the major European river cruise
operators actively marketing their products in the Australian market, which continues to boom.
Demand for European river cruising appears to be unstoppable, with many operators set to further significantly boost
their already large fleets for 2014. This means there are plenty of options for Australian travellers who revel in the ease,
pleasure and delight of a European river cruise.
River cruising is being increasingly seen as a great way to holiday, allowing travellers to experience a new destination
every day from the comfort of a luxury ship. There’s no unpacking, meals can be taken on board and many operators
offer luxury touches such as butler service, fully inclusive touring and more.
This guide has once again been produced in response to requests from Cruise Weekly and Travel Daily readers for
a simple reference which allows them to compare and contrast the offerings of river cruise companies selling their
products in the Australasian market. Different cruise companies have chosen to contribute varying amounts of
information to the guide, but we have attempted to include as much information as possible about each operator
depending on the available space.
