Extreme Canyoning - Waterfall Repelling
Canyoning in Manuel Antonio is the ideal tour for the adventure traveller. This off-road trip takes you to
a part of the rainforest most tourist don’t see. A true Costa Rican paradise experience travelling through
quaint Tico villages with flora and fauna, you never know what you might see!
The journey starts by crossing a 125 meter long suspension bridge, 45 meters high which will take your
breathe away. Then the real fun begins.
Our safety conscience and professionally trained guides will lead you up the first 45 meter high waterfall,
all you have to do is rappel down! And of course, once you’ve done it, you’ll want to do it again, so off
you go to the second waterfall, 55 meters high.
When it’s time to relax, enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch overlooking the swinging bridge and canyon
waterfall. The entire experience is closely controlled by certified guides and only the best, safest,
certified climbing equipment is used.

Catamaran Coastline Cruise
From Quepos Marina, your guide will take you to the loading platform and help you aboard the
catamaran. Once aboard, we set sail towards the horizon and cruise over sapphire hued waves.
The catamaran will chart a picturesque course departing from Quepos Marina Pez Vela, gliding around
the back of Manuel Antonio national park.
Your guide will point out notable wildlife and vegetation specimens, so be sure to have your camera
ready. You will pass by panoramas adorned with islands, cliffs and rock formations. You can admire
aviary nesting grounds and marine wildlife. Dolphins play in the wake as we sail silently through the
blue pacific waters. The rushing of wind and waves are frequently interrupted by the splash of dolphins
and whales coming near for a closer look.
After touring the coastline, we stop for a leisurely swim at one of the white sand beaches and snorkel
around the underwater reefs of the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve. A swim and snorkelling break
offers a perfect complement to the warm sunny days. Many different kinds of reef fishes are seen while
enjoying the cool waters. Most likely you will see parrot fish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a
dolphin!
During your chartered course you will be able to savour a tasty barbecue lunch on board the catamaran
while admiring the lovely waterscapes. You will then head back to the dock where there will be
transportation waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Damas Island Mangrove Tour
With more than 10 Years experience, this Mangrove Safari offers a superb tour through the quiet canals
of the tropical mangrove forest of Damas Island Sanctuary. This tour is run by an eco-friendly company
committed to the preservation of the mangrove ecosystem.
Mangrove swamps are rich with marine life and havens for water birds such as cormorants, frigate
birds, pelicans, herons, and egrets, which feed and nest here by the thousands. Look down into the
water to see luxuriant life: oysters and sponges attached to the roots, small stingrays flapping slowly
over the bottom, and tiny fish in schools of tens of thousands. Baby black-tipped sharks and other
juvenile fish, too, spend much of their early lives among mangrove roots, out of the heavy surf, shielded
by the root maze that keeps out large predators.
High tide brings larger diners, big mangrove snappers and young barracudas hang motionless in the
water. Raccoons, snakes, and, as everywhere, insects and other arboreal creatures also inhabit the
mangroves - and all this in addition to native mammals such as monkeys, sloths! Take your tour by sea kayak or boat and marval at the abundant wildlife whilst learning the fansicating
story of the five species of mangroves native to Costa Rica’s Shorelines. Tour Summary:

Surf School
Don’t know how to surf? We’ll teach you! Whether you are seven years old or seventy-seven, beginner
or experienced, travelling alone or in a group, we have the class for you. With almost three decades of
experience in teaching around Quepos and Manuel Antonio, our instructors know the very best surfing
spots and, of course, when and where to catch the best waves.
We also have extensive knowledge regarding the tides and therefore know when and where to take our
students depending on their level of experience, in order to have fun but more importantly to be safe.
We only use specially designed surf boards. We have long boards made out of a special lightweight
material just perfect for beginners as well as fibreglass boards for the slightly more advanced.
For those experienced surfers, we can also provide you with shorter, more traditional boards for riding
the waves in style. We provide our students with everything they need: leashes, wax, and rashguards
specially made for surfing.
All of our instructors speak English and are the first instructors certified by ISA (International Surfing
Association) in Costa Rica as well as highly trained in water safety and First Aid.

If you like adventure and want to experience something different then Manuel Antonio is the place for
you. The warm waters, the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly people will give you an experience that
you will never forget. We have a variety of different dive sites and most locations are limited to one

We offer a number of different exciting dive trips both in Manuel Antonio and Isla del Caño. All our trips
leave from the Marine Pex Vela in Quepos. We can cater private dive or snorkel charters.

this brings us an unbelievable amount of marine life. Though the visibility does vary it is normally in
the region of 30 - 65 feet in the dry season (Dec - May) and 10 - 40 feet in the rainy season (June November).
Water Temperature: There is very little variation throughout the year. Temperatures range from mid
80’s to low 70’s. For exposure protection we would recommend either a 3mm full or shorty wetsuit.
Average Dive Depths: 40 - 80 ft
Marine Life: We have an abundance and wide variety of marine life on the Central Pacific Coast of
Costa Rica. Schools of Snapper, Jacks and Grunts cruise by. You can get up close and personal on the
reef with Angel Fish, Moorish Idols, Surgeon Fish, Giant Damsel Fish, an array of Puffer Fish, Scrawled
File Fish, Octopus, a variety of Eels and Crustaceans. Plus Reef Sharks, Rays, Sea Turtles, Pan Tropical
Dolphins and in season the majestic Humpback whales and Manta rays (Dec - April).

underwater environment formed by the intense volcanic activity that formed this area.

Rainforest Spice Plantation
The Spice Plantation is located in the Central Pacific rain forest 10 miles east of Quepos overlooking
Manuel Antonio National Park. The plantation includes 27 acres of agriculture production and 125 acres
of primary and secondary rainforest. Major spices include vanilla, true ceylon, cinnamon, cocoa, black
pepper, allspice, turmeric, and a variety of exotic fruits, essential oil and medicinal plants. We also
showcase our unique collection of epiphytes (airplants) including orchids, bromeliads, and tilandsias.
Vanilla is the most popular flavor in the world and is the plantation’s major crop. Native to Central
America and Mexico, it is also the second most expensive flavoring agent and the reason for its high
cost is the labor-intensive nature of vanilla cultivation and processing. Each vanilla orchid is carefully
fertilized by hand and during pollination season. Vanilla is the only edible member of the orchid family,
the largest plant family on the planet.
During the Spice Plantation Tour you will experience the sights, tastes, and aromas of vanilla, cinnamon,
pepper and other tropical spices, essential oil plants, and a wide variety of tropical ornamental plants.
After visiting the warehouse and plantation, you will you will experience our new “Flavors of the World”
tasting. Our in-house pastry chef will prepare a variety of flavorful drinks and gourmet spice treats for
you and your group to sample. All items are made fresh on the farm from scratch and use as many
ingredients from the plantation as possible. Come taste the flavors of the rainforest and get inspired
to try a little cooking and baking at home with some fresh organic spices!
The last stop is at our famous “Spice Shoppe” where visitors and chefs alike stock up on vanilla beans
and extract, ceylon cinnamon, savoury chili-infused hot chocolate and other products grown on the
farm to give as gifts or try in their own recipes!
