How to Use Snap Shoes
Each snap shoe features a snap which can be removed and switched out to a new ornament in order to
match any outfit. Simply snap off the ornament on the shoe, and place a new snap of your choice on the
shoe. Be sure that the snap clicks into place and is securely fastened. Unlike the strap shoe system, all
snaps are one size fits all and are made to fit on either the left or right shoe.

How to Use Strap Shoes
There are three different sizes of straps that coordinate with our shoe sizes. Please refer to the chart
below for which size strap fits the correct shoe size. Once this has been determined, pull off the strap
from the card. Writing underneath the strap on the card indicates which strap goes with the right or left
shoe. Simply line up the center of the Velcro strap with the center of the strap shoe and lightly press on
the strap to ensure it is secured onto the Velcro of the shoe.

{GLOSSARY}
Arch
The high, curved part of the sole of the foot, located between the ball of the foot and heel. This term can
also refer to the raised area of the insole of a shoe, which is meant to pad and provide support for the
arch of the foot
Ballet Flat
A Ballet flat is meant for everyday wear; comfortable flat shoe that is fashioned after a shoe a dancer
would wear
Butterfly
Butterfly
Used to describe the silhouette of a garment with wing sleeves
Canvas
A heavy, closely woven fabric
Chevron
A pattern in the shape of a V or inverted V
Contoured Foot bed
An insole that molds to the shape of the foot
Cushioning
Padding on the insole or outsole for added comfort and stabilization
Cuff
A rigid bracelet with a gap in the material, usually on its reverse side. The opening lets us easily slip the
bracelet over a wrist
Denim
A coarse durable twill-weave cotton fabric
Embossed Leather/Outsole
A design that is imprinted onto leather and often simulated exotic skin - i.e., croc or snake. May also be a
random pattern
Empire Waist
High-waisted, gathered near or just under the bust with a loose skirt
E.V.A (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate)
A synthetic compound for outsole; E.V.A provides cushioning to the foot and easily shaped by heat and
pressure
Foot bed
An insole which is usually cushioned and contoured
Forefoot
The area of foot between the ball and the toes
Heel Seat
The part of the shoe directly below where the heel of the foot rests and where the sole and the heel are
joined together
IKAT
A style of weaving that uses a tie-dye process on either the warp or weft before the threads are woven to
create a pattern or design.
Jute
A braided rope made using fiber from a plant
Kerchief
A square scarf folded into a triangle worn over the head or about the neck
Last
A metal, wood or plastic form used to create the shape of a shoe
Linen
Cloth woven from fibers made of the flat plant
MidMid- sole
The layer of material between outsole and inner sole used for reinforcement or cushioning
Memory Foam
A dense polyurethane foam that molds into a shape when in contact with heat
Napa leather
A supple version of sheepskin leather
Ombre
A French term meaning "shaded." Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark
Outsole
The bottom outer sole of a shoe
Paisley
A distinctive pattern of curved and feather-shaped figures
Patent Leather
Leather or imitation leather processed with lacquer to give a hard glossy surface
Platform
Shoes, boots or sandals with thick soles which are horizontally raised. Inner soles are usually made of
rubber, cork, plastic or wood
PU – Polyurethane
A man-made material that is used for many applications such as molded footwear, faux leather and spandex fibers.
Raffia
A finely woven fabric from the stems of the Raffia Palm imported from Madagascar, well known for its fine
raffia with the best strength and durability
Scarf
Garment worn around the head or neck or shoulders for warmth or decoration
Silhouette
The outline or general shape of a garment
SockSock - liner
A sock liner is the insole in the interior of the shoe that the foot rests on
Sole
A simple form of footwear where the shoe is held to the foot by strips of leather or fabric
Stacked Heel
Created from layers of leather or synthetic materials with contrasting tones
Thong
A sandal featuring a V-Strap that connects to the sole of the shoe between the big and second toe, and
at the sides of the side foot
TPR - Thermoplastic Rubber
A mix of polymers, usually a plastic and a rubber. They show advantages typical of both rubbery materials
and plastic materials.
Unit Bottom
A single bottom made from a mold of rubber plastic. It includes the sole, platform heel or wedge
Vamp
The part of the upper covering the front upper surface of the foot
V- Neck
A garment with a V shaped neck
Wedge
A heel which extends from the back of the shoe to the ball of the shoe following its contour
