Our solutions help to integrate every phase of your design requirements such as Concept Design, Plot Plan, 3D Plant Modeling and Analysis (Piping, Mechanical & Electrical) etc to automate your deliverables and downsize your design time for every Project. Integration in practice Most probably one of the best examples of integration is the link between CAESAR II pipe stress program and AutoCAD® based CADWorx Plant Design suite. These two applications were naturals for integration as the work done in both design and analysis has such a direct and immediate impact on each other. What made this integration special was the fact that as both applications are developed by the same company, the developers of each program could work very closely (both figuratively and literally) together. The success of this integration which allows the stress engineer and piping designer to work exactly as they always have, but now they can benefit directly, in as transparent a form as possible, from the work done by their counterpart across the departmental divide. Quantifiable Benefits of Integration Obvious benefits of an integrated solution are evident in the fact that data re-use leads to work hour savings and reduced mistakes incurred during manual or semi-automatic data transfer. This indicates that one of the best ways to save costs is not by investing in faster machines or increasing the efficiency at each of the engineering, procurement, or construction stages of the process but by making sure information input is made useful at each subsequent stage of the process. An Integrated System, a Distributed System A major benefit of a system that shares all information is that it allows workflow tasks to be broken up and distributed to different project team members – this may be done on a regional or discipline level, between EPCs and owner/operator's, or in many other ways. If all team members can see and benefit from the work of all others, there is no need to face the choice of either having to assign the entire project design to a single individual (or single group) or risk clashes and other incompatibilities between different team members. This shows that distributive design may well be the true payoff for an integrated engineering system. 2 CADWorx Plant Integration for Piping Designers CADWorx® Plant Professional and CADWorx®Design Review CADWorx Design Review specifically developed for the review of CADWorx and ancillary models by designers, managers, owners and other stakeholders. It provides ease of collaboration and intuitive methods for producing review deliverables such as markups, comments, redlining and animations. CADWorx ® fieldPipe for Leica fieldPro CADWorx fieldPipe for Leica fieldPro combines Leica Geosystem’s laser precision with Intergraph CADWorx Plant Professional. This mix delivers the most powerful plant as-built and spool verification tool on the market. 3 ® CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II® CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II can bidirectionally transfer models and related information between the two programs. CADWorx® Plant Professional and StruCAD® CADWorx Plant Professional and StruCAD have bidirectional link, which helps to export the CADWorx Steel Model into StruCAD for doing connection design and detailing and the user can bring back the StruCAD model to CADWorx Steel with joint connection. ® CADWorx Plant Professional and SmartPlant Spoolgen® CADWorx Plant Professional and SmartPlant Spoolgen are a great combination for small and medium mechanical or construction contractors who perform new design for small projects or who manage fabrication and erection projects based on detail design done by others. CAESAR II Integration for Stress Engineers 4 CAESAR II® and PIPENET VISION Transient Module PIPENET VISION Transient Module calculates the pressure surge which can occur in a piping system due to valve closure, pump trip, pump start up, etc. The surge force (surge pressure * pipe flow area) thus calculated by PIPENET can be imported into CAESAR II model at all elbow pairs as force spectrum, or time history using dynamic analysis of the CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software. CAESAR II and Smartplant 3D Integration: CAESAR II 2011 with its Enhanced PCF to export function can export all known information from CAESAR II to Smartplant 3D. CAESAR II has ability to bring SP-3D model into CAESAR II engineering environment. The bidirectional interface has the ability to round-trip restraint loads, layout changes, and displaced shapes CAESAR II® and FE/PIPE FE/Pipe interfaces with the structural/piping model for CAESAR II. Neutral files from CAESAR II (.CII) can be read into the FE/Pipe "Beam Element Generator". The required neutral file format is .CII for CAESAR II. Extensive review of the data conversion is performed by the translator and warnings, notes, etc. are printed during the conversion process. CAESAR II® and ISOGEN CAESAR II have Isogen part of the software to provide stress Isometrics drawing. Its read the CAESAR II output files procedure the Stres Isometrics with nodes and shows the stress, restaint loads and displacement on the selected nodes. 5 CADWorx P&ID Integration for Process Engineers CADWorx® Plant/Plant Professional and CADWorx® P&ID Intelligent information from CADWorx P&ID projects can be read by CADWorx Plant/Plant Professional to set parameters for any line that needs to be modeled. Line number, line size, specification, service, area, unit etc. can all be set automatically in CADWorx Plant or Plant Professional simply by selecting a line from CADWorx P&ID. ® CADWorx Loops and CADWorx® P&ID Professional CADWorx Loops produces automatic instrument loop diagrams from CADWorx P&ID Professional Project Database. ® CADWorx P&ID Professional and CADWorx® Datasheets CADWorx Datasheets generates Instrument and Equipment Datasheets from CADWorx P&ID Professional Project Database. The datasheets are generated using industry standard (ISA) datasheet 6 templates in Excel formats. The datasheet formats are easily customizable to suit client requirements. CADWorx® Internet Publisher and CADWorx® P&ID CADWorx Internet Publisher can publish all data (including linked documents) from a CADWorx P&ID project to the internet, intranet, or CD and allow access to that information to anybody with any standard browser, regardless of lack of CAD platform, applications or skills. CADWorx® Plant/ CADWorx® P&ID and Databases CADWorx Plant/Plant Professional and CADWorx P&ID/P&ID Professional seamlessly link to any ODBC compatible database to produce bills of materials or reports (line lists, etc.) available to any application that supports similar standard databases. PVElite Integration for Static Equipment Engineers 7 ® CADWorx Equipment and PV Elite® CADWorx Equipment users can now seamlessly import PVElite's Pressure Vessels and Exchangers designs. Similarly Pressure Vessels modeled in CADWorx Equipment can now be exported back to PVElite for design verification and analysis. PV Elite® and PV Fabricator® With this link PV Fabricator creates a 3D model complete With all of the analysis data available in PV Elite and subsequently simplifies the process of creating 2D Fabrication drawings from the data rich 3D Model. This feature increases the benefits of engineering and design integration and removes the wasted time and the introduction of mistakes that come from task duplication. PV Elite®/CodeCalc and NozzlePRO CodeCalc (also included in PVElite) has an interface to NozzlePro finite element analysis program developed by Paulin Research Group. This allows users to perform FEA on vessel-nozzle junctions from within the CodeCalc/PVElite program. FEA can be useful in cases where the geometry is outside the range of WRC-107. PV Elite® and Foundation3D PVElite interfaces with Dimensional Solutions' Foundation3D software a comprehensive foundation design and analysis of mechanical equipment including horizontal vessels, tall towers and exchangers and design of foundations for exchangers, horizontal vessels and tall towers. The interface extracts meaningful information from PVElite such as equipment geometry, shipping, operating, test weights and such other information required to complete the foundation design of the equipment and also automatically generate BOM and the detail drawings within AutoCAD, thus saving hours of input, design and detailing time. PV Elite® and CAESAR II PVElite can import the Nozzle loads from CAESAR II to perform the WRC 107 or FEA Calculation for sustain, expansion and occasional condition. 8
