I’m a traditional student. Why would I want
to join TRiO/SSS?
If you are a traditional student who came to UACCB
straight from high school,
the TRiO/SSS team can
give you the transfer and
personal help (along with
other useful tidbits of wisdom) that help you stay
on the traditional path
toward achieving your
goals and dreams. Plus,
we’re just cool like that.

I’m a non-traditional student. How can TRiO/SSS
support my educational
journey?
If you are a student who has
been away from school for some
time, feels unprepared for what
is expected in college, or if
you're wondering if you can succeed, TRiO/SSS may be the
right place for you. TRiO/SSS
staff understands your concerns and our office is a place
where someone will listen and
provide assistance.

Student Symposium
As a TRiO/SSS student, one of your
requirements for being a member in
good standing is to attend three (3)
workshops per semester. In an effort to make this easier to achieve,
TRiO/SSS is hosting a Student Symposium on Friday, September 27th
from 8:30am - 2:00pm. Students will
get to choose 3 workshops from a
variety of options. Lunch is included;
the only thing it costs you is your
time.
Don’t forget, it is in your contract
that you will attend workshops and
financial literacy events. This will let
you meet many of your responsibilities for the semester in one day.
While this event was designed with
TRiO/SSS students in mind, it is
open to the entire student body –
so tell your friends! Please RSVP on
Facebook, or stop by our office.
