interview
1) We would like to know something
about your journey until now?
- Since in grew up, I always thought that I will get
into education as it was always in my mind. It was always
education that I wanted to get into since years, because
we have a school in Gujarat where we teach girls to the
strength of approximately 3000 girls. I was always leaned
to getting into this line and when I got this opportunity of
taking the Arena franchisee we immediately went for it.
Of course it was very a hard task because it was just the
beginning and I took up a negative centre when I began.
I believe that hard work, focus and commitment always
make you achieve your goals. Of course I was younger so
I would work for 14 hours in a day, 5 years of my life I
worked for 14 hours a day. I tried to do things and with
God’s grace I always had a very lucky team; because you
can’t work alone you need people to be there at the
right place to see the things grow. My family supported
me, I have two daughters who motivated me and so did
my husband, he never asked me questions and gave me
the right to think and execute the things the way I felt.
Probably I think I don’t like interference so he respected
that and if I would make a mistake I would just think that
I should not repeat it. Rajeev sir was my first employee
and he has been always a back bone, he showed me
the path and today I am here. Now I feel I should do
something different for the children, not getting into the
routine work because people are there, departments are
there to handle it. I was very keen that I should
introduce an English speaking workshop; I did
the promotions myself because we have got many
out station students who don’t know English properly
so things are quite difficult for them. Sad thing in our
industry is when students goes for an interview industry
expects students to know English, so I tried to promote
but I was very depressed that children never came to me.
So open your eyes children and learn all that you should
know in life.
2) Anivolution is going to celebrate its
2nd anniversary, what is your view about
Anivolution?
- When the idea of “Anivolution” came and we all
were discussing it, I never thought it will be so successful.
I personally never expected it to reach at this level. I
can say that all the students who are really working in
this incubation are at very professional level, they know
how to work in this industry and how to handle the work
pressure as they have a work experience. I know it’s not
possible for very student to work in “Anivolution” but
everyone should try to get into this team, this will help
them to know there skills. Lots of credit goes to Sumeet
sir also, who is the backbone of anivolution.
3) March is the Women’s special month,
so what will you say about women’s
empowerment?
- The pages of history have impressed on us the
power of women, the determination of women, who
have redefined it. The empowerment of women today
has taken her to heights that are unbelievable. From the
homemaker to a nation builder to experimenting in space,
she is everywhere in strength in strength, in power, in
caring, loving and sharing. She has devoted herself beyond
human reckoning. Having left no stone unturned to make
the world a better place, she welcomes each dawn with
a new hope to fulfil her dreams and inspirations. She
is born to lead, salute this yard stick of power
to women, who keeps moving and never
stops for better world to live in.
The pages of history
have impressed on
us the power of women, the
determination of women,
who have redefined it.”

Kala
This year’s
Ghoda Arts
Festival’s theme was “momentum”. It was based on the fastpaced life of Mumbaikars. No matter whichever hurdle comes
our way, we help each other out and never let our spirit shatter,
thus being able to resume back to our lives. How true is that!
The way this festival integrated this theme with different
events was spectacular.
The best part of this festival is that it has something in
the store for everyone. If you are a music-lover, you can enjoy
a plethora of unique performances from different artists and
musicians. Various traditional street shows and acts will you
take on a ride to the 80s and 90s where life was much simpler
and lesser technology savvy. All the bookworms and literature
freaks can spend quality time with their favourite authors and
writers at David Sasoon Library, Tarq and Arbour. For those who
love live action rather than imaginative words, various movies
and theatre performances will marvel you at NGMA, Horniman
Circle Garden, Max Mueller Bhavan and Artists’ Centre.
If you are more into creating marvellous constructions,
you will definitely enjoy the urban design and architecture
models at Ramport Row. If your passion is food, you cannot
afford to miss the workshops that take place at Westside and
Gateway Rooms. Experienced chefs from top restaurants will
shower you with their secret recipes and useful cooking tips.
If you are more of a walk-person, you can enrol yourselves in

like a melting pot where different cultures have
been mixed together in perfect proportions. Its
dynamism and wide spectrum makes it one of the
most awaited festivals every year. Knowing that it
has so much to offer, it is very natural to develop
a sense of affection towards it. When time to bid
farewell comes near, we wish to get hold of the entire
festival in our fist, put it in our pockets and cherish it
for lifetime, just like how Bhoomi Trivedi sings in the

future. At the same time some campus recruitments were being conducted
by some companies where many students showcased their portfolio, this was
one of the best chance for the students to interact with professionals as

because I was interested in 2D animation. But sir insisted me
to do it and to make an attempt. When I started my project I
faced many difficulties, because I was basically new to it and
creating an animation was difficult. I was facing few up and

story of the film was very short when we first heard it so we
had do develop it and add many scenes that could suite up
the storyline. The difficult job for us was that, we had to
show dramatic scenes, fighting scenes, emotional scenes and
action scenes in less than 5 minutes. Another problem our
team faced was the rendering parts, our team sat together

T
attva zone, a club for like minded students launched
by Anivolution successfully completed its first trekking
event which was held on 9th March, 2014 at Karjat.
This was the club’s first activity which was very much
appreciated by the participants. To make this event a
success, team Anivolution put their hard efforts of days and
nights to plan out the entire event for the 45+ participants.
As that was the first event organised by the team, a handful
of volunteers were selected who helped and supported
in organising the trek. Before the main event, a meeting
was held amongst the club members to discuss about the
particulars which were necessary for the trip with such
large number. Identity cards were provided to all the club
members going for the trek in the meeting itself.
Since participants were in huge amount, attendance
were taken and after that all were provided with a small
bag filled with light snacks for the journey and Tattva
Zone logo stickers which were stuck on one and all’s
outfit. As everybody was thrilled, the audacious journey
started soon. No sooner did the journey commence,
the chants of lord Ganesha were humming in
the bus. All were busy deep in their thoughts
imagining the upcoming events alleged by the

hired guides. To create some good interaction there was
a small introductory session given by each one of them
in which they told about their uniqueness. In view of the
fact that it was a long journey people played many games
related to songs and drama all the way long. Reaching
Karjat, a briefing session was held, where guides explained
few important points for trekking. So as to begin the hike,
villagers had arranged some snacks for all so as to obtain
energy and be focused to reach at the top. “National
Anthem” was sung by each and every one so as to greet our
motherland and thank its beauty before commencing the
hike. The students were divided into five groups, based on
the five elements, sky, fire, water, earth and space which
also gave an essence of our club. Our troop was escorted by
three guides, one of them was leading, the other was in the
middle and the third was assigned to be the last one to keep
a watch on all. All three of them were explaining to the
group of people, they were walking with. During the trek,
the guides were providing interesting information regarding
the locality which included its past history as well as the
climatic conditions. The trek which was graded to be easy
for armatures turned out to be quite challenging as per the
internet research done by many. Even in exhaustive state
while ascending uphill we could not neglect to admire the
breath- talking visuals of Mother Nature.
There was a short informative session about the
caves and the history behind the carvings and sculptures
which were made by our ancestors. As informed by the
guides before, there were many honey bees at the top.
People were defending themselves from the bees as well
as admiring the beautiful scenery and artistic sculptures
around them. After some time, everybody was at their
peace and things were restored. So as to make the trip more
interesting and meaningful, there was a task named Green
environment initiative in which all the five groups had to
clean the path while coming down. Every one participated
and took this initiative to keep the environment clean.
Along the way to the end everyone had a little refreshment
drinks and ice cones ‘GOLLA’. After coming down, the trash
collected by all the participants was dumped at one place
and the group which had composed the largest amount of
trash was appreciated by one and all. Completing that task
was exhausting hence a lunch break was decided. A short

a beginning towards a new
relaxation. Throwing pebbles in the water and hence the
reaction of splashing water was total fun. With everyone
exhausted and settled down, finally the bus left from Karjat.
As everyone was tired after a long day of trekking and many
adventurous things, a short nap was taken. After sometime
the bus was bought to a standstill for some evening snacks
and tea. That was a time for everyone to get fresh and at
the same time to be ready for the remaining journey. All
were revitalized after a short nap and snacks, and played
games like antakshari in the bus till the journey ended and
we reached our centre safely. All together it was a good
time during the trek, the weather conditions were pleasant
for trekking. The pleasant weather with slight drizzling and
the cold wind both accompanied each other and made the
trek more fascinating and pleasing. The trek was in full
swing and ended successfully after everybody reaching their
home safely with some cherished memories.

gratitude was expressed before commencing the lunch. To
continue the further excitement, a Team Building activity

same time. As there was nature’s beauty all around, each
one of them was eager to click some stunning scenic
photographs, hence a photography activity was held. On
and all were excited and gave their best for these clicks.
The photography activity was the most lovable activity by
all. With the mesmerising sunset, our day came to an end
and we planned a departure from Karjat. While returning
back there was a drizzle which accompanied with the cold
breeze. The weather was adding fun to the trek. Each one
proceeded to the dam where many pictures were clicked
including several group pictures. Everyone was full of joys
of spring at the lake while the nature’s scenery and the cold
weather added more fun. The lake side was a good place for

Website Review
O
A loving photostory
ne might say we have spent a lot of time with our
respective families that we have done everything
that we could possibly do with them. In a family one
has been through everything right from the up to the downs
and everything in the middle. Thus we now bring your
attention to one such site hosted by NFB which showcases
the feelings and emotions of one grandson who is trying to
express himself in the most creative and essentially only
way he knows, that is through pictures and storytelling.
So here we have a website dedicated to a loving hunting
enthusiast and nature loving grandfather which goes by the
name of the last hunt.
Web review
Story:
The site relates to us the story of photographer Alexi
Hobbs grandfather Antonio ‘Pit’ Allard. We find out that
Pit belonged to the army at one point of time. After some
time he could not take it anymore and decided to leave the
army, which was not a good idea especially during those old
times. That was because back then leaving the army would
be considered as desertion and the culprit responsible for
this would eventually be thrown in jail. Pit wanted to avoid
this gruesome outcome so he immediately went into hiding
in the woods of northern Quebec. During this period he
managed to get a job as well as met Alexi’s grandmother.
The story also speaks of the tensions and stress that came
from hiding this secret from her as well as how grandpa Pit

grew fond of the woods during his various hunts in order
to secure food for the family. In the end the writer tell us
that he remembers all these stories that his grandfather
told him and how they wanted to make this Last Hunting
expedition of his a cheerful and memorable one.
Description:
The writer often focuses on the fact that he wanted
to go on this expedition so that he could find some
connection between him and his grandfather. He feels that
he can do this by capturing various moments during this
journey using photography. He feels that he can decipher
the meaning of the connection in-between these amazing
clicks and snapshots. Another point that Alexi is trying to
portray is the beauty of the spirit behind hunting. The
battle between the hunter, the abundance of emotions and
feelings that are created from this elegant sport and the
happiness that is brought to his Grandpa Pit while he tries
to hunt for what could possibly his last expedition to the
woods he loves. Alexi is also trying to come to terms with
the fact that his grandfather may pass away anytime soon
and that the chair facing the porch is going to be vacant in
some time. Alexi feels that he might grow alone after this
because there will be no one to teach him all of
the new things he thought he would master
about hunting.

The site is well designed with a very simple but
elegant fell about it. Although like all flash web sites this
requires good internet speed and connection to view and
enjoy properly it is much worth the wait. The entire tory
can be read by merely scrolling down or using the arrow
keys to go up and down the story line. The site plays a
good and soothing music tack in the background that
makes the reading and viewing experience all the more
exciting, relaxing as well as quite enjoyable. This is a site
that relates a story not only in the form of words but in
the form of small animations placed quite well in-between
various paragraphs. The animations are really short and
simple and bear a great symbolism to various situations
and points that are in the story. Some animations are just
for an information purpose telling us a small fact that helps
us to connect the story in a better way. This site allows
the user to switch between the story and a large array of
beautifully clicked pictures of the expedition, each one
narrating its own special story and the meaning behind it.
Alexi has tried to portray the essence of his grandfather’s
spirit in the hunt.
Conclusion and Review:
Designer: Dhiraj K.
Content: Aaron G.
The last hunt is a beautifully rendered site and can
certainly tend to get you emotional at times. The site
claims that they have an app version of the story as well
and also it can be shared with your friends and those family
members who you feel are the most important and special
individual to you in the whole world. If this site were to
be rate it would not be right as it will appeal to different
people and of different mindsets and goals, so in short
you will have to see it for yourselves. Just strap on your
reading glasses and get ready to enter a place which will
simply leave you quiet sentimental and lost in thought. An
amazing site which goes by the name of The Last Hunt.

Web review
In the end one would say that this is a site that manages
to wonderfully execute the feeling of photographer Alexi
Hobbs to the fullest. There is a great sense of
extraordinary humility in this story and
can serve as a deep inspiration for all
those internet views out there. One
can look at this sight and easily get lost in the
amazing composition of pictures and the redefined
interactive style of reading a story. With some
extra controls which can be used to improve your
experience further, one could say that this is a site
to see when one is down in the dumps. At the same time
there are some flaws with respect to the average glitching
out and hanging of the website which can certainly become
troublesome and quite frankly a massive letdown, there is
also the fact that not many people out there might take
an interest in a site like this. But in the end it is worth the
visit.

Gaming experience evolved and redefined
2
gadget review
0 years ago, the first ever PlayStation was introduced
by Sony. Special thanks to Nintendo for spoiling the deal
with Sony, the breaking of the partnership infuriated
the Sony president and appointed Ken Kutaragi (The Father
of PlayStation) for development of PlayStation project
to beat rival Nintendo. Since then, the face and gaming
experience has changed in the industry and franchise
is constantly setting benchmarks with huge successive
releases of the PS2 and PS3. Gamers around the world have
a reason to rejoice when Sony Computer Entertainment
announced a release of the gigantic mean machine PS4.
With sleek design, jet black color and light weight body PS4
looks promising.
Specifications
What makes PlayStation 4 so much different than other
consoles let’s find out, firstly the crucial and important
factor is graphics, there is a huge improvement. Playing
Need for speed Rivals and Fifa 14 it is almost like driving
a Maruti Suzuki and shifting gears to Ferrari, thanks to the
8 core AMD “Jaguar” 2.75 GHz processor and GPU AMD’s
Radeon tech with support of 8GB of DDR 5 RAM more than
we have seen in the most expensive pc graphics card and
500 hard drive which is upgradable. Sony claims that the
PS4 overall performance is ten times of PS3,
Dualshock4
What immediately
grabbed the eye was
the
new
Dualshock4
controller; it is the best
controller till date by
Sony. The Dualshock4 has
smooth edges, excellent
thumb grip with faster

sticks are made for long
hour hardcore gamers
out there, these were
improvements and what
about new added feature to the controller is the touch pad
with inbuilt speakers which is compatible even with PS3.
The sticks in the controller are not the same as they were,
now are inner circled and with extra grip and rubber texture
which is appreciate able for shooter fans. The start and
select button are replaced by share and options buttons.
The annoying part of the controller is the battery life,
leaving the controller as it is will put serious drain on the
remote. It’s a fantastic evolution of DualShock controllers.
PlayStation Camera
Well it is a shadow of its rival Xbox kinect, PlayStation
camera is rather unnecessary. The use of the camera is during
login in PS4 can use the camera to recognize your face.
The processes involves actually holding up your DualShock,
where it uses the controller light bar’s color to figure out
who the player is, futuristic isn’t it, but does not speed
up the signing process. The camera has inbuilt microphone
which can pick up simple commands but limited, compared
to Xbox One.
Design
Now let’s talk about the box, a masculine box with
sleek color and hard edges makes it appealing to the players
and it is certainly not a toy, it is a gaming hub. The mix of
gloss and matte succeeds in looking classic; this is the best
looking we have seen.
Verdict
The gaming mammoth is attractive with appealing
design and the DualShock4 feels much better and handy
with brand new features and the bottom line is gamers
and techies can witness a brand look after seven long years
with all new features, excellent interface with comfortable
controllers. But the console is way too costly and would
suggest just wait for some time and let the price fall on
other hand there are no new game releases for this platform
except Killzone: Shadow Fall.
The upgraded controller
Dualshock4 has one of its
kind experience.

game review
B
attlefield 4 is a first person shooter video game
developed by DICE (Digital Illusions CE) and published
by Electronic Arts. The game is sequel of 2011’s
Battlefield 3 and is released on multiple platforms such as
Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, Playtation 4,
Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game plot is
set in 2020, six years after the events of
Battlefield 3 and the tension between
USA and Russia is at boiling point and
on the top of it, the antagonist Admiral
Chang of China wants to conquer the
current government of China, and if he
succeeds Chang will have full support
from the Russians and will be at the
edge of war with the Americans. The
player controls Daniel Recker member
of U.S. special operations called
“Tombstone”. From intense shooting
and breath taking actions and twists
and turns Battlefield 4 brings refined
shooting experience. Can the U.S.
special operations “Tombstone”
stop the war?
Story

civilian car under water in pursuit with the Russians. Dunn,
trapped between the seats and injured, gives us (Recker)
his pistol and commands him to shoot he windshield,
unwillingly Recker shoots the window and Dunn drowns as
other escape. As the game proceeds Tombstone commanding
officer talking on the phone about the intel from China that
Admiral Chang is planning Coup d’état (sudden deposition
of government) if he succeed he will gain full support
from Russians. Garrison sends Tombstone, with Recker as
the squad leader, on a mission to rescue the three VIP’s:
Kovic, Hannah and Hannah’s husband. Tombstone succeeds
in rescuing the VIP’s and sends them to the USS Valkyrie
by helicopter. Meanwhile, Tombstone takes a civilian tourist
boat from the shore, just as an electro magnetic pulse fries
all electric equipment in the area and Tombstone realizing
that there are other civilian refugees trapped on boats
around them, and against Pac’s protests, Irish takes them
to the USS Valkyrie. When Tombstone reaches USS Valkyrie
they sight USS Titan heavily damaged by Chang’s military
and Garrison orders Tombstone to hunt vital intelligence
before the massive ship sink. The squad recovers a vital
hard drive and heads towards USS Valkyrie and finds that
the carrier us under attack by Chinese military. In the
assault kovic is critically injured and puts Recker in charge
before he dies and Tombstone cleares the ship and rescue

The game features new attacking system known as
‘Engage’ and marking targets with new tactical visor
which favours for the players. Another thing that has
improved in the game is the graphics, well Battlefield
is known for their graphics and visual quality, Battlefield
4 could not get better in terms of graphics. The game lets
players access end number of deadly weapons and guns

long enough and Dima finally opens the door and only to

soldiers and explains that she had to protect Jin Jie who
had been posing as her husband. The group fight their way
out through the Kunlun Mountains to a cable car which goes
down. The cable car is shot down by the Chinese military
and Dima is thrown out of the car window and car lands
on top of him. Forced to continue on foot they find major
Greenland and Tombstone volunteers to destroy the bridge
and flood it so that the Russians and Chinese can’t have the
way to USS Valkyrie. Tombstone completes their task and
are sent to Seuz Canal as promised by major Greenland.
USS Valkyrie is under Chang forces and Tombstone clears
the deck and finds Garrison and Tombstone realizes that Pac
is not dead. Jin Jie convinces Recker to show his face to
the Chinese military who were under impression that he is
dead. Jin Jie calms the war between USA and China and
Chinese celebrate the return of their leader. But Chang has
different plans and want to bury the ship as well as the
truth and attacks the Valkyrie with his war ship. Hannah,
Recker and Irish decides to sink the ship with C4 charges
and the detonator fails to work, manual replacement of
charges will be required and Hannah volunteers as well
as Irish Volunteers. We as player have to take two options
either do nothing as Chang warships destroys Valkyrie or
send back Hannah or Irish to set explosives. No sooner the
detonator lights green Recker detonates the charges and

Movie Review
obocop is a 2014 American science fiction action film
directed by Jose Padilla. The film is a remake of the
film of same name which was a 1987 classic. This film
got delayed several times in its initial stage itself, which
is the pre-production stage. Firstly it was announced
to be a remake in 2005 but eventually got halt and then
was scheduled to be released in 2010 but yet again got
delayed. But finally they started it’s principal photography
on September 2012 and was finally scheduled to release on
12th February 2014 in United States. Robocop is a futuristic
sci-fi film. The film is about providing a robot suit to a
person (a cop) who has an injured body. The respective
person who has to serve the nation with his new powers. It
is basically a mixture of emotions, betrayal, self-interested
people seeking their own concern.

is to sell their products that can be used in civilian law
enforcement in the United States. But public opinion
which is personified by the Dreyfus Act, stops this. The
CEO of Omnicorp Raymond Sellars with the combination
of his marketing team with scientist Dr. Dennett Norton
asks to form a new law enforcement product by combining
man and machine which he believes can be sold to the
American public. For the same purpose they are looking
for a permanently injured policeman who can act as the
center of their prototype. The story further proceeds
when they find a cop Alex who was almost killed after
a crime boss plants a bomb in his car. Alex is chosen
for Robocop program and is assembled with the Robocop
body and software. Later Alex realizes that Sellar is the
person who is using him for his concern. In the climax of
the film, Sellar shuts down the Omnicorp building with
Drones armed to protect it. Alex succeeds in getting
inside the building and finally kills Sellar after a combat
with him.

The action of the film is crisp and sharp at the
same time. The action sequences are designed to look
technically advanced yet simple. To mention any, the one
sequence where a shootout is shown between the drones
and Robocop in a under construction building is to be
watched out for. There is a sequence when Robocop tries
to escape from the centre where he gets his new suit
for the first time. Robocop gets away from the centre,
by jumping over the fencing wall and runs through
the nearby farms. The camera work in that particular
sequence is just amazing. Also every time when our hero
gets on his sci-fi bike having chrome coating on it is just
fascinating and eye-pleasing. The bike itself is designed

Movie Review
We are familiar with the iron suited
superheroes like Iron man and Robocop
himself from the previous Robocop film back
from 1987 of the same name, but this Robocop
film has a very new and well-built iron suited
hero to offer for its viewer. Every time our hero
gets in action, you can’t help but cheer and brace
yourself to watch him clash with the envys. Be it
the new black superhero suit or the bike Robocop
uses with cop red and blue lights that gives it a
classy touch, everything looks futurist and elegant
at the same time. The previous Robocop movie had
a very innovative story to narrate and this one is one
step ahead of its preceding installment. The new
Robocop movie is filled with breathtaking and aweinspiring action sequences, some new gadgets like
the fabulous bike or his own suit. The film is mixture
of family emotions and sense of responsibility too.
Prepare yourself for this superhero flick that offers a
great and enjoyable time.

A way of life a way of living
I
t is not a new fact that each and every one of us out there
has imagined that jet son’s universe in which everything
that we do in our daily life can be accomplished simply
at the touch of a button. Many a time we have dreamt
that such a reality would actually exists and our favorite
Hollywood movies have even deepened our belief in such
a future. Among all this we have one company that goes by
the name of Corning that tells us quite boldly that yes such
a future is not quite far away. So dear readers this is one
video that is bound to sweep you off your feet and just leave
you with that lingering sense of awe and amazement.

Story
Corning is a company that specializes and creating
glass and ceramic works for advanced technological purposes
as well as those involved in a much more scientific field.
This is one company that has dared to say that such a High
Tech future is within their grasp and can even be soon made
available to everyone in the world. The video shows us small
snippets form such a world where everything is operated on
glass or another type of translucent or transparent element.
In this case we see every little thing that be only thought
was possible on a phone be done in real life during various
normal day to day activities. We see the life of a normal
family where in the wife just adjusts her daily schedule and
appointments by merely organizing them on the wash basin
mirror, then we have the children adjust some photos on the
fridge but merely dragging and scaling them accordingly.
There is even situation in which a video call is transferred
from the mobile phone to the kitchen table and continued
as if nothing happened. We also see what this technology
can do for businesses enabling wide range conference calls,
holographic pictures and even enable live fashion models,
our attention is also diverted to a situation where in the
wife buys something she likes just by clicking on the store
browser while inside the shopping mall. The videos also
states that there is also foldable paper like technology
which can be used to read a two hundred page book or even

Most of these features can be accessed by
placing the user’s headset on a specified

Animation
The vfx used in this is simply
stunning and quite fluid. The editing on
this little masterpiece has been done
quite well and can certainly mislead
someone that this kind of technology
actually exists and can be made
accessible on a moment’s notice. This
is a fine example of the creative use of
video editing software’s like Final Cut

Conclusion
In the end this is one video that
will certainly mesmerize you
and keep you hoping or a

get this advanced.
In other words this
video would be five

A wave with swirls of dots and line creating
sense in simplicity
A
Animation
In terms of animation, apple has done compete
justice to the ever infamous English proverb, Sense
in Simplicity. The animation is quite nice and ever
so erratic. The constant twirl and swirl of dots and
lines creates an ever special symphony of all the
principles of animation. The various aspects of the
words show are represented quite creatively in
the animation. Thus the meaning of the video can
be easily derived from this Impressive showcase of
iconographic animation. There are also the sounds
of pencils and erasers in the background further
suggesting that this video is meant to symbolize a
type of blueprint on which various designs are first
laid out before they are produced or constructed.
In all this animation is something that showcases
something big very briefly and beautifully.
Story
Conclusion
The short video says precisely the same thing.
We are once again introduced to Apples main slogan.
This video tells us in a brief way that they love what
they do, that they have seen various situations arise
and fall and after careful consideration they plan a
way to execute their thoughts. The video also states
that the process which is involved in creating these
amazing products and services is not any easy one;
in fact it is quite a tedious one, one which requires
a lot of patience Co-operation and positive thinking.
They say that their plans go up against a lot of critics
and trial and error so that the best output may be
achieved. And even if the best output is achieved
they will once again go through the facts and figures
of the idea straight from scratch. Well, one can
easily say that the best way to describe Apple Inc.
would be as a ‘Crazy Perfectionist’. But after all
that we are no Disappointed by them, in fact we just
get something that we hope and dream can get our
hands on.

This is one animation video that should be seen
as one can learn a lot from it. This is one video that
tells you that nothing can be attained easily and
without hard work. It also gives us a very important

Whenever such an commercial is made,
the main highlight always is the Graphics and the
visual effects that is shown in it. This commercial
simply gathers huge appreciation by its concept and
also its execution. It is one of the most difficult
task to show all the new features in an 1 minute
commercial, but Motorala does it well in all terms.
Also the background score used suits perfectly with
the mood of the advertisement. The way in which
the features of Moto G is shown in the advertisement
is in its own way interesting as well as engaging and
keeps the viewer wanting more of it. It has been
years that Motorola had not launched any of its
new mobile in India. So coming back and launching
its new phone and also getting more attention to
it seemed to a challenge in itself. But with this
commercial, Motorola has succeeded in grabing
a lot of attention of the viewers and also created
enormous curiousity among them. The concept of
the commercial is simple yet engaging and easily
grasps the viewers interest.
The visual effects used is so delightful and
stunning that you can’t help but watch it again and
again all over whenever it is viewed on television.
To mention any, the way the G changes its color
is just brilliant. Or the buildings shown to feature
the google maps application, also the space shuttle
launching leaving smoke behind are just an pleasure
to watchout for. The way the mobile phone is shown
in motion makes us believe it as a character and not
a phone. Using such interesting ideas for a mobile
commercial is challenging and also interesting. The
commercial also notify that the mobile is available
only on one shopping website online.
For all those Motorola fans out there, it is like
a treat for them with the launch of Moto G and the
commercial made to introduce it to the audience
is just the best way to reach to mass people.
Surely the commercial has set an bench mark
for other mobile companies to make more
interesting concepts and ideas to make a
commercial using them.

traditional art form
T
An art which diminished under the light
of the technology
here have been a number of different art forms that
are practiced in our surrounding through which,
creative outputs are made. One of the most interesting
art form used throughout the world is the Pixel Art. It is a Art
form very widely used in the digital world. Pixel art can be
defined as artwork designed to a high degree of pixel-level
intent.
Pixel Art is a form of Digital Art. It is produced using
the Raster Graphics Software, in which, the images are
edited on the Pixel level. The graphics used in most of the
old computers were actually pixel art. Console, graphing
calculator, mobile phones and video games also used Pixel
art. Pixel art is gaining huge popularity recently. Pixel art is
usually considered as a computer graphic in which, a image
is generally drawn pixel by pixel in detail, with the help
of some degree of color palette and primitive computer
graphics tools. Using Microsoft Paint tool, Pixel art can be
made because the software has not been updated or changed
in years. Pixel Art look a lot like the Jaggie 8-bit computer
Graphics that were in the 1990’s which were seen in the
computer role-playing games and Nintendo (NES) systems.
Even the computer icons are generally created with the help
of Pixel Art style. Making a pixel art is not that hard but it
does requires some great Patience.
Pixel art can also be made using other softwares like
Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro. With a mouse or a Graphics
Tablet or with any Paint Program, pixel art can be produced.
Pixel art as a term was first published by Adele Goldberg and
Robert Flegal of Xerox Palo Alto Research Center in 1982.
But the concept of Pixel Art started 10 years back before
that. For instance in Richard Shoup’s SuperPaint system in
1972, also at Xerox PARC. There are also some traditional
art forms which are quite similar to pixel art like Countedthread embroidery (including cross-stitch), some kinds of
Mosaic and Beadwork. The above mentioned art forms

create pictures out of small coloured units similar to the
pixels of modern digital computing. Another Concept similar
to this can be noticed on a bigger scale in the North Korean
Arirang Festival.
To draw a pixel art, it starts with what is called as
the Line Art, that is also the basic line that describes the
character, building or anything else the artist is intending to
draw. Then the line arts are traced over scanned drawings
and are often shared among other pixel artists. Techniques
other then the above, some resembling painting also exist.
lossless data compression, such as run-length encoding or an
indexed color palette is pefered and used to store a pixel art.
GIF and PNG are the two file formats which are commonly
used for storing pixel art. Because of its lossy compression
algorithm that is designed for smooth continuous-tone
images and introduces visible artifacts in the presence of
dithering, the JPEG format is avoided.
Pixel art is generally divided into two subcategories
that are: Isometric and Non-isometric. . The isometric kind
is drawn in a near-isometric dimetric projection, that is also
commonly seen in games that provide a three-dimensional
view without using any real three-dimensional processing.
Non-isometric pixel art is any pixel art which does not fall
in the isometric category, such as views from the top, side,
front, bottom or perspective views. These are also called
Planometric views. Placing pixels with the use of precision
oriented tools, a pixel art can be Crafted. That is why any tool
with which an artist can calculate exactly the result through
its use is regarded a pixel art tool. The most necessary of the
Pixel Artist’s tools is the 1x1 pixel Pencil Tool.
Because of the increasing use of 3D graphics in the
gaming sector, the importance of pixel art has lost to some
extent. But still it is a very active professional area, as

for operating systems having

The time
had come when
we take a dive
into the world
of Info graphics
and
take
a
look at a lot of
interesting facts
and
figures
about
them.
This issue was very interesting based on

incredible knowledge about Paper Cutting
art, a look into the master classes of the
month and an amazing game which goes
by the name of Assassins Creed Black Flag.

journey of anivolution
“Nothing is predestined.
The obstacles of the past can open
gateways for new beginnings”.
With this inspiring thought in mind,
Team Anivolution greeted and
wished a very happy and affluent
new year 2014 to its readers.
The New Year gets along with it
the spirit of joy to do something
artistic, pioneering and vibrant.
The same spirit motivated us
to come up with an ambitious and most awaited idea of
forming an establishment-‘Tattva Zone’, which would bring
one and all in Arena Animation Andheri(W) together with
the same objective of exploration. Working with this issue
was sheer fun and experimental as the team had seen many
opportunities with the launch of the club and visit to the
most awaited event The Comic Con and two most amazing
industrial visits to DNA and Raj Studios. The team indeed
had so much to do this moth and it really became more like
a task to for the team to complete the issue for its readers
to read.
