Designed by a real life “Blue Beard” who was bored to death with being a Desperate Dan look-alike,
The Bluebeards Revenge range started life as a quality skincare line aimed at the problem shaver the guy who has suffered for eternity due to heavy beard growth and a five o’clock shadow by lunch
time.
Since then, the range has expanded to encompass skincare, haircare and fragrances, as well as
accessories and merchandise for the ‘manly’ man, and a top quality selection of shaving tools.
Our grooming range is paraben free, and our shaving products contain ingredients such as
Decelerine to specifically combat tough stubble and reduce hair growth, as well as tackle common
shaving problems like razor rash, burn, ingrowing hairs, lumps and bumps.

Decelerine: The Science
Decelerine™ contains a mixture of active ingredients that delay hair growth, reducing the frequency
of shaving and depilation, and at the same time, providing a recovering effect on the skin.
The normal hair cycle is divided into four periods:
1.) ANAGEN – Active Growth Phase (2-6 years)
2.) CATAGEN – A short transition period with regression (2-3 weeks)
3.) TELOGEN – A resting phase (2-3 weeks)
4.) EXOGEN – A shedding stage
In tests, Decelerine™ showed a 30% decrease in hair length as well as a 16% reduction in hair density
after 60 days.
As well as slowing down beard regrowth, Decelerine™ relieves and soothes the effects of shaving

The Bluebeards Revenge Razors:
An introduction
The Bluebeards Revenge has a variety of different types of razors to offer, including the
familiar Mach 3 cartridge razor, the ‘Scimitar’ double-edged safety razor and the
‘Shavette’.
Mach 3s utilise the Gillette Mach 3 easy-to-change 3 bladed cartridges, a mainstay of the
shaving market for many years and still very popular, quick and easy.
Double-edged safety razors are so called because they use a traditional, thin razor blade
with two edges, which is loaded into the head of the razor. Apart from the great shave these
can facilitate, an advantage of the double-edged safety razor is the low cost of the blades.
It’s a case of back to the future as more and more men turn or return to the lost art of
shaving.
Shavette Razors are a relation to the very traditional ‘Cut throat’ or ‘straight’ razor, as used
by Sweeney Todd! The advantage is that they use standard double-edged safety razor
blades and hence don’t require stropping or honing in order to maintain the edge – blades
are simply replaced as required. Utilised frequently by the barber trade to either trim the
back of the neck or give a ‘proper’ barbershop shave.

Replacing Double-Edge Razor Blades
Cut-Throat Shavette / Straight Razor:
This razor takes standard double edged razor blades which are readily available in most
supermarkets and online. These need to be snapped in half prior to insertion in the holder.
1. With the blade still in its wrapping carefully bend lengthwise until the blade snaps. Open
wrapper and place to one side.
2. Open the top hinged cover of the shavette until it is fully back.
Split the blade holder so that the shavette is now fanned out into 3 parts.
3. Take one half of the blade you previously snapped in half and place against the location pins.
4. Carefully close the other half of the blade holder over the blade until the pins locate in the
holes. If the blade moves slightly at this point then just lightly push back in position (but not
with your fingers). Push the hinged cover back over the blade holder, a small portion of the
edge of the blade should be showing evenly.
Congratulations, you are now ready to commence shaving!
‘Scimitar’ Double-Edge Safety Razor:
1. Unscrew the handle of the razor until it comes apart into three pieces ( the top ‘load-bar’
and bottom ‘safety bar’ sections and the handle). Remove the used blade by lifting it out,
making sure not to touch the sharp edges .
2. Take the new blade and align the holes with the three notches on the load-bar.
3. Place the safety bar against the other side of the blade, lip facing downwards, and screw the
handle back on.
4. Your ‘Scimitar’ is now ready to use.

- Pure Bristle: Made from boar hair. Stiffer than badger hair and not as soft.
Excellent water retention, which is important when lathering.
- Badger: Made from badger hair. Soft with good water retention. More

- Synthetic: Man-made fibres designed to mimic the properties of badger hair.
How to use:
Prepare the brush by soaking it in water, then gently shaking the majority of the water out.
Gently press the tips of the brush into the cream or soap gathering enough material to
shave with. Lather your soap in a bowl or on your face using a whipping motion and adding
water as needed to create a thick lather that resembles whipped cream or meringue.

The hairs from boar and badger used are from farmed animals.
After use, the brushes should be rinsed, gently shaken and squeezed to remove
excess moisture, then left to dry naturally.
