Visitors Guide - Centennial Medical Center
Mission &
Values
Above all else, we are committed
to the care and improvement
of human life by caring for
those we serve with integrity,
compassion, a positive attitude,
respect and exceptional quality.
In pursuit of our mission, we
believe the following value
statements are essential and
timeless:
• We recognize and affirm the
unique and intrinsic worth of
each individual.
• We treat all those we serve
with compassion and
kindness.
• We act with absolute
honesty, integrity and
fairness in the way we
conduct our business and
the way we live our lives.
• We trust our colleagues as
valuable members of our
healthcare team and pledge
to treat one another with
loyalty, respect and dignity.
ICARE Values
Integrity means that we strive to earn the trust and
respect of those we serve by holding ourselves
personally accountable to do what is right, and
ensuring consistency between what we say and what
we do. We keep our promises, own our mistakes, and
maintain high standards for individual performance.
Compassion means sharing in the emotions and
feelings of our patients, families, and co-workers, and
acting with kindness in all we say and do. By treating
others with compassion, we create an environment
that inspires trust, safeguards dignity, and promotes
healing.
A
Positive Attitude means we perform in a way that
communicates we are here to serve. We believe that
positive attitudes result in positive outcomes.

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 657-bed
tertiary facility that is accredited by The Joint
Commission. Our campus is home to TriStar Sarah
Cannon Cancer Center, TriStar Women’s & Children’s
Hospital, TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular Center
as well as TriStar Parthenon Pavilion, one of the
oldest and largest full-service psychiatric facilities
in the region. Round-the-clock care is also
available at TriStar Ashland City, a critical access
hospital in nearby Cheatham County. In addition,
our TriStar ER at Spring Hill will open in early 2013,
serving the communities of Maury and
Williamson counties.
None of our accomplishments in healthcare would have
been possible without the dedication of our physicians and
staff and their commitment to quality care. With more than
2,500 employees and one of the largest medical staffs of any
Nashville hospital, we welcome the opportunity to serve you
and your family and are dedicated to ensuring that your time
at TriStar Centennial Medical Center exceeds your expectations.

Thank you for choosing TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
As the flagship hospital of HCA and TriStar Health, TriStar
Centennial continues to raise the bar for healthcare on
both a regional and national level, serving Nashville, Middle
Tennessee and the southeastern United States.
Over the years, we have built a
reputation for advanced technology
and compassionate care, making us a
hospital of choice for patients seeking
quality treatment in the community.
TriStar Centennial Medical Center was the
first hospital in the area to offer robotic
surgery, and our robotic surgery program
has grown to include urologic, gynecologic
and gynecological-oncology robot-assisted
procedures. The newly expanded TriStar Sarah Cannon
Cancer Center is the first and only cancer center in Middle
Tennessee to offer CyberKnife® stereotactic radiosurgery
– a non-invasive treatment for tumors. Our Emergency
Department is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a
Certified Primary Stroke Center, making it a natural choice
for those suffering from vascular and cardiovascular events
when every minute matters.
