WELCOME TO UCB
This prospectus
has been designed
to give you a closer
look at our professional parttime courses and the career
opportunities they provide.
University College Birmingham
is accredited by the University

prospectus lead to degrees of
the University of Birmingham.
University College Birmingham
has a well-deserved reputation
for outstanding support
for students, high-quality
courses that fully prepare our
students for employment,
superb practical facilities and
strong, highly-effective links
with industry. That view is
also shared by the thousands
of students from the UK and
overseas who choose to study
with us each year.
The University is committed
to improving the student
experience and has
invested £26 million on
the stunning new McIntyre
House, a building dedicated
to undergraduate and
postgraduate study.
Phase Two of the ambitious
development will see a further
£35–£40 million invested in
student facilities.
I hope that you will give careful
thought to your choice of

inflation in subsequent years.
Additional information can be found under
‘Fees and Funding’ at www.ucb.ac.uk.
Your employer might pay for you to do
the course through staff development.
If this is not an option, then you can apply
for a government loan to cover your fees,
which you will not start repaying until
you leave the course and are earning
over £21,000 a year. The more someone
earns, the more they pay back. Some may
never have to pay back the loan at all.

the application, please contact the
Finance Department:

If you are applying for a Level 2 or Level
3 course and are aged 19 or over, there
may be tuition fees to pay. The tuition
fee for part-time Level 2 and 3 courses
is £670 per year. This is a yearly fee,
and may increase with inflation in
subsequent years.
If you are aged over 24 and studying
a Level 3 course, your fees will vary.
However, you can apply for a 24+
Advanced Learning Loan to cover
your fees, which you will not start
repaying until you leave the course
and are earning over £21,000 a year.
To apply for a loan please go to

Please note that you can only apply for
