Snow Routes are authorized to take effect by the
Chief Operating Officer, or designee, when six inches
of snow or more is forecasted. Snow and ice on city
streets will delay service. During snow emergencies, only
the color coded snow bus routes listed in this map will
be in service. No other bus routes will be in service.
Light rail will operate on a 30 minute frequency from
8am – 8pm. Ferry will operate on a regular schedule
from 8am – 8pm. Paratransit service will be cancelled.

A trip is defined as the point at which the
passenger boards the vehicle until the
vehicle reaches the next published terminal
point. After reaching the terminal point,
all passengers must exit the vehicle. If the
passenger desires to use the same bus for the
next portion of the trip, then the customer
must reboard to begin the next trip. At that
point, the customer will need to pay for the

is required for Seniors and Youth. Medicare
Cardholders must show Medicare card with
valid photo identification. Persons with
Disabilities must show an HRT Half-Fare ID or
HRT ADA Paratransit ID with photo ID. Eligible
Half-Fare individuals wishing to receive the Half
-Fare discount are encouraged, but not required,
to obtain an HRT Half -Fare ID or a Youth ID.

There are three Peninsula snow routes,
designated Brown, Teal and Burgundy. On
the South Side there are nine snow routes
designated: Red, Gold, Purple, Blue, Green,
Orange, Pink, Silver, and Burgundy.
Half Fare is for customers holding Youth,
Senior, Disabled, and Medicare cards.

The new routes are unique in that they
combine elements of existing routes and
are designated by a color rather than the
customary route number.
Up to two children less than 38 inches tall
may board for free with a fare paying adult.
Additional children must pay the published
