This photo was taken by Gail’s Mum just after we’d
appeared on GMTV together, in fact we’d just been
‘papped’ by several photographers whilst walking
through Primrose Hill, London. Quite a surreal
experience for me.
Gail and I met as a result of her BBC1 One Life
documentary ‘Gail Porter Laid Bare’ which sensitively
took Gail and the viewers through her traumatic
experience of being diagnosed with alopecia after
losing her hair. Gail and I have since become great
friends and I, along with all the many others who
experience hair loss, cannot thank her enough for
her honesty and openness about the condition
which so many people live with.
Gail very kindly allowed Browns to use this
photograph. Like so many of us, Gail understands
the importance of feeling good about yourself,
after all, we all deserve to look great!

Oh, what to wear?!! Often my dilemma
first thing in the morning, or when I’m
getting ready to party! No, not my
outfit….. my hair!!!
That’s the advantage of wearing wigs, I
can choose my hair to suit my outfit, the
occasion or even the weather.
I started to lose my hair when I was 5,
and first wore a wig at the age of 8. My
hair came back for a while and then I lost
it again when I was 21. I’ve now been
wearing wigs for over half my life and am
thrilled to be working with Browns as one
of the specialist design team, using
all my personal experience and
knowledge to create wigs
