Very early GC with elevated flue diverter
Models GC GE GCB GEB (Conventional Flue)
Introduced in March 1968, in the De-Luxe
styling.
Two (C) or Four (E) ovens with domestic
hot-water boiler option (B)
* Versions were available for use with
Towns gas, Natural gas or LPG either
Propane or Butane
* Flue connection was to a conventional,
open-flue system or chimney.
Early models had the draught diverter elevated in the flue pipe at high level but this
was later brought down on to the top of the
Aga.
* 1976 Four oven models were supplied
with separate top-plates for the left and
right-hand sides.
* 1978 Town gas version deleted.
* 1988 Burner design modified to incorporate Junkers controls. Butane gas option
deleted.
* 1993 Burner redesigned incorporating
SIT controls
* 1996 Combustion discharge device (flue
spillage stat) added, resulting in full CE
product approval
* 2008 Option of models GC & GE fitted
with Aga Intelligent Management System
(AIMS) allowing the cooker to be programmed between fully ON Normal and a
reduced standby temperature. From 2011
No heat indicator has beeen fitted on
these models

Introduced in March 1968, in the De-Luxe styling.

* Versions were available for use with Towns gas,
Natural gas or LPG either Propane or Butane
* Flue connection was at the rear immediately
through the wall. Early models had rectangular flue
boxes, later 1974, changed to concentric round
tubes. Up to 36” length tubes were available,
Styling and changes generally followed the OF models
Oven venting was natural draught via a small copper
pipe to outside.
* 1988 Burner design modified to incorporate
Junkers controls. Butane gas option deleted.
* 1990 Fan-assisted oven vent option offered, becoming standard from 1991 onwards. Recognisable
by the raised shroud at centre rear of top-plate
* 1992 Flue tube length standardised at 24” maximum
* 1993 Burner redesigned incorporating SIT controls
* 1996 Full CE product approval
* 2014 Still current production

Introduced in 1996. Current production

* Suitable for use with either Natural gas or

* Small diameter, purpose made, stainless
steel flue pipe could extend up to 6 metres
with 6 bends to reach outside, offering flexibility of cooker siting.

Aga

* Suitable for either Natural gas or

* 2004 Power flue option became available. Recognisable by the raised shrouds
across the rear of the top-plate
* Hotcupboard could be attached giving a
total of 5 ovens (GC5)

three ovens.
* Boiling plate and Simmering plate individually heated by electric elements.
* Incorporating Roasting, Baking and Simmering ovens within a 2 oven outline.

* Optional hotcupboard available for providing a total of 5 ovens (DC5) Hotcupboard heated by its own separate electrical
element.
* Natural gas only
* Power flue only, restricted to a maximum
length of 4 metres.
* Oven venting via power flue system
* Integral plinth raises top-plate working
height to 910mm
* Remote thermodial replaces traditional
heat indicator
