discovering the BMW X5 in its natural habitat. You will discover a completely new driving experience on tours on
rocky roads and gravel tracks, over and through belts of dunes and along dried-out riverbeds. Immerse yourself in a
world packed with impressions of unfamiliar cultures, unique natural wonders and the diversity of African wildlife.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO NAMIBIA (APPROX. 20 KM).
- Own travel arrangements for arrival at Windhoek
International Airport and welcome to Namibia by our BMW Team
- Transfer to the lodge
- Lunch for early arrivals
- Presentation of the programme, route description and general information begins
at 2 p.m., check-in after the presentation
- Instruction on driving in offroad terrain and the technical features of the BMW X5
- Active driving session to explore the surrounding countryside
- Dinner
- Overnight stay at the luxurious GocheGanas Lodge
THE CALL OF THE WILD.
DAY 2: DRIVE TO THE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (APPROX. 580 KM).
- Breakfast, followed by check-out
- Drive to Windhoek with a stop at the ‘Alte Feste’ (Old Fortress)
- The guide provides interesting insights into the country and its people
- Lunch
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Onguma Bush Camp or the Mokuti Etosha Lodge –
be on your guard, lions quite often stray into the camps!
- Night-time Safari (only at the Onguma Bush Camp)

DAY 3: GAME WATCHING IN THE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK.

- Safari in the Etosha National Park
- Lunch at the lodge
- Poolside relaxation with an unique view
- Traditional Namibian boma dinner
- Overnight stay at Onguma Bush Camp or the Mokuti Etosha Lodge
WILD ANIMALS UP CLOSE.
DAY 4: SAFARI WITH THE BMW X5 (APPROX. 200 KM).
- Breakfast, followed by check-out
- Route briefing and distribution of maps of the park
- Safari with the BMW X5
- Lunch at Camp Halali
- Arrival at the lodge in the late afternoon. The lodge is situated
at a hill crest and offers spectacular views of the Etosha Park
- Dinner
- Overnight stay at the Etosha Safari Lodge or the Toshari Lodge

DAY 5: THE HIMBA TRIBE (APPROX. 440 KM).

- An encounter in Kamanjab with Namibia‘s indigenous people, the Himba
- The indigenous tribe who calls this rugged wilderness
their home gives us insights into their culture and lifestyle
- Picnic lunch
- Offroad drive, including sections in dried-out riverbeds
- Dinner with a wonderful view of a valley with impressive
rock formations, in which time seems to have stood still
- Overnight stay at the Vingerklip Lodge or the Ugab Terrace Lodge

DAY 6: DRIVE TO THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD (APPROX. 440 KM).
- Breakfast, followed by check-out

- Drive to Twyfelfontein, a world heritage site with the world’s largest
collection of prehistoric petroglyphs (stone engravings)
- Picnic lunch
- Crossing the Ugab River beds, with view of the distinctive silhouette of the Brandberg –
Namibia’s highest mountain – and the Spitzkoppe
- Drive to Swakopmund on the Atlantic seaboard
- Dinner at ‘The Tug’ – a restaurant with enjoyable specialities of the Namibian coast. The local
oysters are said to be among the best in the world
- Overnight stay at the exclusive Strand Hotel

DAY 7: DUNES & PASSES (APPROX. 450 KM).

DAY 8: THE RED DUNES OF THE NAMIB DESERT (APPROX. 180 KM).
- Light breakfast
- Route briefing and day’s schedule
- Drive to Sossusvlei. As the sun awakes, an unique show of light and shadow begins. Several of the
world’s highest dunes reflect the light in a spectrum of colours from delicate yellow and orange to
burning red and stand in rich contrast to the bizarre natural sculptures of dead trees
- Picnic lunch
- Return drive with stop at Sesriem Canyon
- Relaxation at the lodge
- Evening meal and overnight stay at the Le Mirage Resort & Spa
DESERT DREAMS COME TRUE.
DAY 9: NAMIB-NAUKLUFT PARK & THE KALAHARI DESERT (APPROX. 506 KM).

- Drive through the Namib-Naukluf Park. The park is home to numerous
species of animals that have adapted to life in the rough desert
- Lunch at the lodge
- Sunset Drive to the red dunes of the Kalahari Desert
