are a few green tips to keep in mind.
Keep your air filters clean. Dirty
filters limit airflow and make the unit
run longer. Clean
or replace your
filters every month
or so during the
summer.
Set your thermostat higher. During
the warm summer months the
recommended indoor temperature
settings are 78 degrees when you’re
home and 85 degrees when you’re out.
Use cold water to do your laundry.
Save up to 80 percent of the energy
required to wash
clothes when you
choose cold water.
Shut down your
home computer
every night. Save
an average of $90
a year by turning off your computer
before bed
Replace Your Shower Heads. Older
showerheads can use three gallons per

Rob Kuhn shares an old family recipe that has been passed down from one generation to the next. It’s easy to make but
guaranteed not to last long.
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 1 stick of butter
• 1 milk
• 2 cups fruit
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
Mix flour, sugar and milk. Pour mixture
into dish with melted butter and stir. Add
fruit and bake at 350 degrees until brown
(about 30-45 minutes).
Serve warm or cool. Top with cinnamon and
or ice cream if desired (highly
recommended). You’ll need an extra large
bowl for cobbler this good!

Keep your air filters clean. Dirty
filters limit airflow and make the unit

Rob Kuhn shares an old family recipe that has been passed down from one generation to the next. It’s easy to make but
guaranteed not to last long.
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 1 stick of butter
• 1 milk
• 2 cups fruit
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
Mix flour, sugar and milk. Pour mixture
into dish with melted butter and stir. Add
fruit and bake at 350 degrees until brown
(about 30-45 minutes).
Serve warm or cool. Top with cinnamon and
or ice cream if desired (highly
recommended). You’ll need an extra large
bowl for cobbler this good!
