These benefits, combined with sludge reduction and reduced mixing, more than justify this products use.
The application of Microbe-Lift/Hog is to follow pit volume reduction via pull plug waste removal.
Apply at the head of the pit away from the plug discharge area. For optimum treatment results, dilute
using 4 to 5 parts tap water to 1 part Microbe-Lift, then apply to pits.

Waste Handling
For new barns or first application wait till manure is in the pit prior to adding MICROBE LIFT to assure the biology has an
adequate energy source, always follow the application use instructions with adequate material added on the first application and this considers the full capacity of the pit and not the volume of manure in the pit at the time of treatment, then
follow treatment rates for the next 4 weeks, then convert to monthly treatment.
Treatment after dump down or pump out - if pump down eliminated most to all of the manure and the barn is cleaned
and sanitized, the farm must start treatment as suggested in the use tables. During pump down no additional product
is required, other than normal monthly use rate. If the manure is removed 70-90 percent with no sanitization and a fair
supply of treated manure remaining in the pit, start treatment with the four week use schedule eliminating the initial
heavy dosage. At the same time, if the pits conditions are not ideal, and under low water start treatment as a per standard
instruction.
Evaluate barn conditions and water use as low water may lead to manure storage issues. When necessary, add water to
the pit after pump down at a rate of 1-2 thousand gallons.

Application:

1st Application at start of treatment:

•• Small pits = 1/2 gallon
After first application, wait one week, the second week treatment rate is 50% of
the first application volume:
•• Large pit = ½ gallon
•• Small pit = ¼ gallon
Maintenance: After the first 2 weeks of treatment, at the higher rate of use:
•• Large pits = 1 quart/weekly
•• Small pits = 1 pint/weekly

Poultry Litter Treatment
PLT has been proven the most effective and economical litter amendment available, based on numerous
scientific studies conducted by universities and commercial companies. The application of PLT before
each flock allows litter to be safely reused for a number of years, saving you the cost of new litter and
cleanout. PLT is non-hazardous and creates a beneficial environment in the poultry house by controlling
ammonia released from the litter and reducing litter pH levels, allowing birds to optimize their genetic
potential. Litter treated with PLT is friendly to crops and the environment.
Application: In most applications, PLT is applied only once, as close to bird placement as possible.
Due to its uniformity, PLT application is quick and easy. PLT can be applied with a typical broadcast
spreader, a PTO-driven spreader or a drop spreader. Commercial application is available in select
