Ms. Brauchler is a health care consultant, working with physicians on managed care contracts, reimbursement and practice administration. Her company, Physicians’ Ally, Inc. has helped hundreds of physician practices and thousands of practice staff members with becoming HIPAA compliant. She is a published author on HIPAA, Medigap standardization, coding issues, and marketing a private psychiatric practice. Ms. Brauchler was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to serve on the Board of the state’s uninsurable health insurance plan, and served on the Governor’s Steering Committee for comprehensive state healthcare reform. Denesecia Green Denesecia Green is a Senior Health Insurance Specialist with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Mrs. Green’s 15 years of health care experience spans over a wide variety of CMS programs and policy; including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Program Integrity, Audit, Quality, Public and Population Health, Health IT, Health Insurance Exchanges, and most recently ICD-10 implementation and oversight. Mary P. Griskewicz, MS, FHIMSS Mary is Senior Director of Health Information Systems HIMSS, the largest U.S. cause-based, not-for-profit healthcare association focused on the optimal use of information technology and management systems for the betterment of healthcare. She has authored many articles, edited several books, and has drafted federal legislation, as well as provided Congressional testimony on the adoption and use of health information technology. Ron Howrigon Ron is President of Fulcrum Strategies, a managed care contracting and marketing firm for physicians and ancillary health care providers. Fulcrum Strategies currently represents thousands of physicians in their dealings with managed care companies. Ron worked for 18 years in the managed care industry as a negotiator and network manager. He has held senior management-level positions with three of the largest managed care companies in the nation. In 2004, Ron left the managed care industry for good and founded Fulcrum Strategies in an effort to provide physicians with leverage to succeed against managed care companies. 6 • The 25th Annual PAHCOM Conference Michael A. Igel, ESQ. Mike Igel is a health care attorney and leader of his firm’s Health Care Audit Defense Team. He represents health care providers in regulatory, compliance and corporate matters, and in defense of claims for overpayment by Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party payors. He has spoken at national, state and local health care provider groups and associations, presenting on health care audits and business issues, ACOs, mergers, employment agreements and recent legislation affecting the health care industry. Jessica A. Johnson, CPA Jessica Johnson is a core member of Anders Health Care, and works with physician practices and hospitals on a wide range of issues, including new practice start-ups, third-party credentialing and tax planning and compliance. She also brings technical and software expertise to her clients, guiding organizations through PMS/EHR selection and implementation. She also guides her health care clients through the continually changing tax legislation. Randi Kopf, JD, MS, RN Randi Kopf is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Kopf HealthLaw, LLC She specializes in Corporate matters pertaining to the practice of medicine and health care, and the impact of Federal and State legislation on health care practices, Including Stark, Antitrust statutes, False Claims Act, Healthcare Fraud and Abuse, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA and ACA. She has provided legal support for U.S. Congressional health care bills and advocated on behalf of physicians and patients before the U.S. Attorney’s Health Care Fraud Task Force. Robert W. Liles, ESQ. When Congress passed the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Mr. Liles served as the first National Health Care Fraud Coordinator for the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys. He advised Assistant United States Attorneys around the country on civil and criminal health fraud statutes, schemes, investigative tools, privacy concerns, and compliance issues. He was instrumental in implementing DOJ guidance on the judicious use of the False Claims Act. Mr. Liles is a nationally-recognized speaker. He has taught and lectured at over 100 regional and national conferences on a variety of regulatory issues. Tracy L. Moon Jr. Tracy Moon is a partner in the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips LLP. He represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has represented employers before state and federal trial and appellate courts in matters under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans With Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.He also represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board and other government agencies, including the EEOC and OSHA. He is a frequent speaker at various employment and labor law programs. Vincent Ivan Phipps, M.A. Using his high energy, expert knowledge, and humor, Vincent amplifies others to achieve professional and personal empowerment. Joe Rosner Joe Rosner is the Director of Best Defense USA and a nationally recognized expert on workplace violence and personal safety for healthcare providers. Joe has been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers and several TV and radio shows.
