Coffee and tea are available in the Lounge throughout the day for your enjoyment Dinner Dinner is served nightly from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the 506 Bistro. The 506 Bistro & Lounge are an open space perfect for socializing or having an intimate meal. Our menu offers simple home-cooked favorites featuring Vermont highlights Snacks Snacks are available onsite from the vending machine located on the ground level, across from the elevator. The renowned Woodstock Farmers’ Market offers excellent soups, sandwiches, prepared foods, and a wonderful selection of Vermont products just a few minutes from 506. For something a little heartier The White Cottage Offers the best of a traditional road side snack bar, open seasonally, located next door to the Farmers Market Bar The Bar opens at 5:00 PM and offers a bites menu and a selection of microbrews, wines and cocktails. Library The Library, located on the second floor through the double doors near the elevator, is the perfect place to see a spectacular view of the Ottauquechee River, rain or shine, and doubles as the perfect meeting room or event space for small parties and functions. Please inquire at reception for more information on hosting conferences and events. Fitness Room Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the fitness room is located on the ground floor. It offers an elliptical, treadmill, free weights and weight machine. To access, please use your magnetic room key. Just around the corner we also offer a space for stretching and cool down workouts that offer. Available for your use are yoga mats, stretching bands, yoga balls, and other related workout equipment. Open 7am to 10pm. Game Room The game room is a great place for guests of all ages to relax, watch a sporting event, or indulge in one of the many different games offered. Equipment provided for your enjoyment includes: air hockey, foos ball, pool, arcade units and an assortment of board games the whole family can enjoy. Open daily from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM, located on the ground floor. Vending Machine & Ice Machine Vending & ice machines are located on the ground floor opposite the elevator. Kids Play Area We are parents so we know how nice it is to have a space for kids (and parents) to relax and not worry about making noise! On the ground floor you will find a dedicated play room for toddlers. The room features dolls and doll beds, a toddler kitchen, workstation, tables and chairs, as well as a flat screen TV and seating. We have Movie night on a daily basis. Housekeeping services include: beds made, trash removed, room vacuumed and towels replaced. If you would like fresh towels, please place your dirty towels in the shower. If you would like to reuse your towels, please hang them up to be left for reuse. Full cleans must be requested. If you do not want your room serviced, please hang the Do Not Disturb sign on your door knob. Pet Policy We have two allocated pet friendly rooms. There is a $50 fee per pet staying with us. Any significant damage associated with a pet in regards to room or furniture damage, as well as flea infestation, found during room inspections are subject to damages and maintenance fees up to $300.00. Dogs are not allowed in the following common areas: bistro/bar/lounge, library, games room, toddler room, fitness room, relaxation room, sauna and changing rooms, and the pool area. Dogs may not be left unattended anywhere within the hotel. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Doggie bags are available, free of charge, at reception. Noise complaints may result in guests being asked to leave the hotel and forfeiting unused nights room charges. 506 On the River Inn maintains the right to deny any dog access to the hotel for any reason, at any time. Smoking Policy Please note that our entire facility is completely non-smoking. This includes patios and balconies. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in a $300 damage charge which will be applied to the credit card held on file. To adjust the temperature, please use the wall thermostat and not the PTAC unit itself. If you should need assistance, please call us at the front desk and we would be happy to assist you. TV Operation The large Samsung remote will power on the TV and should be set to channel 3. To control cable options please then use the smaller XFinity remote to change channels and control the volume. If you need assistance please contact the front desk to help you. Internet There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the Inn. Look for the network name “OnTheRiverGuest”, no user name or password required for access. Famous for its quant New England architecture, stunning natural beauty and the Rockefeller connection that made it known around America and the world. At 506 West Woodstock Rd, a local family built five cabins to rent to visitors on a beautiful riverfront setting, minutes to the Village of Woodstock. Fast forward sixty years and 506 On the River has been reborn as a boutique Inn. The stunning setting remains, the beautiful grounds are unchanged, the Ottauquechee River still flows. The cabins have been replaced with a beautifully designed Inn with only 30 rooms. What we have refused to do away with is the down to earth Vermont sense of hospitality…no dress code here! The décor is a homage to Woodstock which is evident throughout the Inn. A unique collection of original vintage Woodstock newspapers dating back to 1802 adorn the walls, old milk crates are used as coffee tables, a country kitchen serves a Vermont breakfast complete with Maple syrup from our family farm.
