STABILIZER LEG
If the Stabilizer Leg is to be removed, it must be slid upwards out of
the mainframe outer leg.

To minimise the free play in the inner leg, slacken the lock nut and
tighten the grub screw until just tort, allowing the inner leg to slide
on the inner pad.

ENGINE ACCESS
1
IMPORTANT ensure that
buckets are lowered or locked
up with safety locks before
maintenance.
Bonnet release (1) is situated
inside the door.
Bonnet hinges forward.
Side panels, left and right, lift
out.

When side panels are replaced,
locate the lower dowels into the
rubber mount (1) with the top
located between the supports.
Before working on electrical
parts, remove battery terminals.
TRANSMISSION CABLE ADJUSTMENT
The forward and reverse
operating cables (2) can be
adjusted at the engine end, or at
the pedal end to achieve slightly
more movement of the forward
pedal than the reversing pedal.

ENGINE OIL AND FILTER

With the engine warm, drain the
engine oil at the remote hose end
(1). Dispose of waste oil correctly.

Replace oil filter (2) with
part no. 894456-7412.
Replenish with 10W-30 oil and
check level with dipstick (3).
Replace fuel filter (4) with
part no. 897172-5491

HYDRAULIC OIL

(5) Filler Breather Cap
To change oil filter unscrew cap (6),
remove plastic retainer (8) and then
remove filter element and bowl (10).
Replace element (9) with
part no. FI10E ensuring that it is in
place, the retainer (8) is pushed firmly
down evenly and the cap fitted.

Top up tank with ISO 46 oil to level (7)

BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

Adjustment of the brakes can be
done by adjusting the brake
actuating rods (1) so that the left
and right are similar lengths and
the equalising bar (2) is at right
angles.
Adjustment can also be made at
both ends of the cables (3)
including the parking brake
cable (4) leaving approximately
20 mm of free movement on the
pedals and both equal.

TRANSMISSION TROUBLESHOOTING
IF TRANSMISSION DOES NOT DRIVE
1
Check that the diverter solenoid
(1) is operating. It requires
power provided by switch (2) on
the seat turntable and switch (3)
on the parking brake.
Contact by both switches must
be made to provide power to the
solenoid.

When power is not provided, oil
can flow through the diverter
and the transmission will not
drive.
When power is provided oil
cannot flow through and drive
can be achieved.

INSPECTION OF THE HYDRAULIC PUMP RESTRICTORS
If the transmission only operates in one direction it is possible that one of the servo
restrictors is blocked.
To gain access to
the restrictors,
remove the 6mm
bolts at the top and
bottom of the pump
as shown.
This is the top
restrictor.
Use a 5mm Allen
key to remove the
bolt.
This is the bottom
restrictor. Use a
5mm Allen key to
remove the bolt.

When the bolt has
been removed,
use a 3mm Allen
key to unscrew the
restrictor.
Visually check the
restrictor, using a
magnifying glass if
you have one.
Repeat for the
bottom restrictor.

TOWING THE VEHICLE
1
If in an emergency the vehicle has to be towed a short distance or onto a transporter,
it should be done slowly and over as short a distance as possible.
Slacken nut (1) on the right side of the transmission pump (unscrew 5-6 rotations).
Access to this can be made by removing the front grill.
