All pens are restored unless specifically noted in the description. Postage & Insurance are additional. All pens are shipped insured. For shipments in the US we prefer USPS, and outside the US we prefer Express Mail International. We will of course use other shippers at customer request. Generally, our pens are warranted for 90 days. Unfortunately, we sometimes cannot restore some modern pens (post1970) due to lack of parts or inaccessibility to the mechanisms (many modern pen companies manufacturer their pens with the plan that no restoration will ever be done). If we can’t restore the pen, you may still have some recourse through the manufacturer or distributor. We can provide contact information for you on request. Thank you for your understanding. NIBS: Note: A Semi-Flex nib will flex with moderate pressure. A light hand will see no line variation. When reading item descriptions, please assume each nib is original for its pen, and is 14K gold, unless otherwise noted. ****************************************************************************************** Check out our Website - www.gopens.com See our website for: ~Catalog photos in color, plus a downloadable color copy you can print at home. ~Information about our book “Waterman Past & Present - The First Six Decades” ~Protective Shipping & Storage tubes. ~White Slotted Storage boxes. ~Glass Covered Storage/Display Boxes. ~Slotted Trays for chests, boxes and drawers. ~Subscription information. ~Historical Catalogs for reference. ~Information on our Warrantees. ~Our Privacy Policy. ~Secure Credit Card Submission. ~Customer Feedback. ~And more... Taking advantage of the visualated barrel, and to promote it's large capacity, Conklin imprinted a gauge running up the side of the barrel to show how many words the remaining ink would write. The gauge on this model runs from 1M (thousand) to 7M. GFT, including the chased cap band and “Rocker” clip. Medium/fine nib. Generally found with damage to the cap lip, this one is perfect! Near mint+. $1400 4 Montblanc 1935 124PL Meisterstuck Push Knob-fill (button) in Platinum, perhaps Montblanc’s most beautiful celluloid. GFT. Two-tone medium, flexible nib. Near mint+ $1800 5 Montblanc 1946 246 PIF in Tiger’s Eye (one of Montblanc’s most beautiful Celluloids). GFT. Medium nib. New-old-stock. Mint. $2200 6 Montblanc 1955 149 PIF in Celluloid. Cap top & barrel bottom each with a large white glass crystal, and the cap surrounded by 12 diamond shaped red glass crystals. According to Zazove & Shepherd in their Parker 51 book (2004, p. 71), “The rarest Demi in existence...was designed by Don Doman and introduced in the mid west USA. Only a limited number were made and it never went into full production. Furthermore, it did not feature in Parker Advertisements.” Different size, shape and color jewels were used. Correct with no clip. Medium nib. Near mint+ (could be new-old-stock). You will probably never find another! $2200 14 Waterman 1928 994 LF in Rose Ripple. One of the rarest and most beautiful of colors. Few were made because the country was entering the depression and few high end pens were selling, the rubber turned out to be very fragile so few survived, and the same year Waterman very shortly afterwards introduced their first plastic pen, the Patrician, which was very successful. GFT. Fine, flexible nib. Near mint+ $1200 15 Waterman 1930 494 LF in sterling silver "Bay Leaf" overlay (rare). One of Waterman's most beautiful patterns. Ex-fine, extra-flexible nib. Barrel indicia lightly engraved "J.J.S." Outstanding near mint condition. $1900 16 Waterman 1930 Patrician LF in Moss Agate. The pride of the Waterman pen line! Waterman was late to the gate when it came to switching from rubber to plastic pens. They had invested a lot of time and money to develop colored ripple pens (olive, rose, blue-green) and wanted to recoup investment by producing in those materials. Eventually, they saw the handwriting on the wall and switched to plastic, introducing the now iconic Patrician. GFT. Medium, flexible nib! Near mint. $1500 Featured Pen - Vintage Pilot/Namiki “Capless” - “Vanishing Point” The “Capless,” a name the Pilot Corporation penned in 1961, continues to this day. The first models operated like a twist-activated ball pen. A second mechanism was introduced in 1964 which works like a button-activated ball pen, first made for students, and completely replacing the twistoperated mechanism by 1967. For a year or so around 1968 there was even a gravity model operated by sliding the clip downwards. From around 1994 to 1999 these were labeled “Namiki” instead of “Pilot” (the exception is the “Raden” model). The “Capless” was renamed “Vanishing Point” around 1973. These are all cartridge/converter-fill pens, with different proprietary cartridges and converters used through the years. 17 Pilot 1963 Twist-activated cartridge/converter-fill in Satin Beige Aluminum with grey bottom knob. Excellent+ $400 196 Waterman 1927 7 "Brown Banded" LF in Red Ripple with "Brown" cap band and corresponding nib (fine, flexible). Excellent+ $650 197 Waterman 1930 7 LF in Black with “Red” circular insert in the very bottom of the barrel and corresponding nib. While “Red” is designated by Waterman as “semi-flexible,” there is considerable variation, this one actually being MEDIUM, TRIPLE FLEXIBLE.” GFT. New-old-stock. Mint. $700 198 Waterman 1928 3 (94) LF in Rose Ripple. Barrel bottom is marked “3", which I have to believe is a mis-mark, since I don’t know of late 1920's Waterman “3" nibs. The nib in the pen is a “4,” so the pen is almost certainly a “94.” GFT. Medium, semi-flexible nib. In the back of the cap there is a professionally sealed hairline crack, noticeable only with a loop. This turns this pen into “user grade,” and half the price of the one shown earlier (Item #14). $600 199 Waterman 1928 52V LF in Cardinal Hard Rubber (rare). Fine, flexible nib. GFT. The cap top and barrel bottom both “stepped.” Medium/fine nib. Near mint. $400 204 Waterman 1939 2 LF in Black. French manufacture. GFT. France entered WWII in 1939. Pens were only permitted to stick out so far from uniforms, so the over-the-top “soldier clip” was used. Fine nib. New-old-stock. Mint. $150 Black Hard Rubber Parker Model “20's” The “20" was Parker’s answer to the Waterman 52 – it was the everyday, low frills user for the masses. While Waterman used the lever for filling, Parker used the button. The 20 was produced in several lengths and in smooth, straight line chased and wave chased. Nibs were always 14K gold and came in many nib widths and styles.
