POSTERS OF PARIS: TOULOUSE-LAUTREC AND HIS CONTEMPORARIES
Posters of Paris explore the story of the French artistic poster in all its complexity.
In addition to the affiches themselves, this exhibition will feature rare preparatory
drawings and watercolors, maquettes, and proofs to show how the artist went from
idea to final execution. The show will highlight work and artists well known to the
public, such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Picasso, and Cassandre, as well as

8TH ANNUAL SPRING BULB SALE The Friends of Mitchell Parks Domes will
host the 8th annual Spring Bulb Sale outside in the front plaza area at the Mitchell
Park Domes. Each year the Friends of Mitchell Park Domes sell the tulip bulbs and
other assorted plants that made up the spring show called “Tulip Mania!” Attending
the sale outside does not require paid admission. This is your chance to create your
own tulip garden with an authentic piece of the Domes. Most bulbs will be potted
and ready to plant in your yard this year so you can have your own spring show

CHARLES ALLIS ART MUSEUM PRESENTS MOVIE TIME: “TOMORROW
IS FOREVER” 1946, 105 MIN. Claudette Colbert, Orson Wells, George Brent,
Natalie Wood, Richard Long, Lucile Watson. A moving story covering two World
Wars. Colbert’s husband, played by Wells, is supposedly killed in WWI, leaving her
with an unborn child. She later marries Brent, who brings up the child as his own.
Years later, Wells returns but unrecognizable to anyone not knowing he has a son.

PIANOARTS 2012 NORTH AMERICAN COMPETITION AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
PianoArts welcomes to Milwaukee 12 internationally acclaimed pianists, ages
15-20, selected to compete in the PianoArts 2012 Competition June 8 -13 at the
Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the
Arts. David Yoskiaki Ko, the extraordinary 2010 competition winner and budding
neuroscientist, will perform the opening recital on June 8. Semifinalists will compete
for over $22,000 through solo and duo recitals and for the opportunity to perform a
full concerto with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. During the concurrent music
festival, PianoArts judges will give recitals, master classes, and participate in panel

“LOVE” This concert will feature a variety of composers whose music explores the
limitless theme of love. The Love concert will showcase Grammy Award Winner,
