The sum of these important habitats and their distinctive wildlife has created an internationally important and richly diverse landscape. The Partnership is managing a Government funded Nature Improvement Area (green boundary on map) and a Heritage Lottery Landscape Partnership (yellow boundary on map), working to restore, conserve and enhance this distinctive landscape. This programme has been supported by HLF, Defra, DCLG, Environment Agency, Forestry Commission and Natural England.
