DESCRIPTION
Most water pipes in homes are un-insulated, which results in lost heat and causes
the water heater to work harder, thereby increasing energy costs. If you have pipes
which are warm to the touch, which ‘sweat’, or go through unheated areas, the fix
is simple - SharkBite® Pre-Insulated PEX Tubing. SharkBite® Pre-Insulated PEX
Tubing can help:
• Reduce energy waste due to heat loss through hot water piping.
• Reduce hot water wait time.
• Reduce the risk of freezing pipe.
• Prevent condensation or frost formation on cold water pipe.
• Retard heat gain on cold water plumbing, and chilled-water lines.
• Achieve Green Building Points.
Our pre-insulated PEX tubing uses closed cell 3/4" thick polyolefin insulation and is
available in 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" PEX tubing in 100' coils. SharkBite®
Pre-Insulated PEX Tubing can be connected with SharkBite® push-fit fittings or
Cash Acme® barbed fittings - providing a variety of connection options for a trouble
free installation.
