more about the farmers who grow their food.
On August 23, some of Alberta’s most talented chefs
and rural communities will be hosting a memorable
series of farm to table culinary events that will be held
around the province, using Alberta farm products.
More than 60 farms will open their gates on August 24
for farm tours. Admission is free. Join us and explore
Alberta this summer.

meet at the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association
and will leave from the parking lot at 10am. Walk around the
farmers market while you are there and enjoy shopping from
the local vendors. In the evening, treat yourself to a gourmet
meal at a secret location and taste food from the local
producers you visited on the tour.

Traveling between local farms, Chef Blair Lebsack and
Caitlin Fulton utilize the food grown and design menus

vegetables alongside proteins from neighboring farms.

Alberta Open Farm Days is a weekend that brings
Albertans together, and we want you to be our guest.
You’ll come away knowing your neighbours a little bit
better and will gain a new appreciation for how farms
contribute to our daily lives. Alberta farmers have unique
stories to tell and great products to share.
Ready to join in the fun? Visit as many farms as you like,
and consider staying overnight to experience a full day
in rural Alberta. Farms are open to the public on
August 24 only.
Plan on scheduling at least one hour per stop. Each farm
will be offering free admission on August 24, although
some farms may charge a fee for certain activities, such
as a corn maze, wine tasting and horseback rides.

a site that is in partnership with Alberta Conservation Association,
that was created to conserve wildlife habitat and to demonstrate
sustainable ranching practices. The attractions include native
grasses, flowers, forbs, trees, songbirds, and a developed spring
that has an abundance of water for cattle, lots of wildlife, and your
drinking pleasure!
