INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To be read carefully and kept for future reference.
You have just acquired a portable spa from the PROCOPI range, thank-you for placing your trust in us. All out spas provide an effective massage
of the whole body and are very reliable and hard wearing. Please read this document carefully before attempting to install or use your spa. It
contains important recommendations concerning the various functions along with the operating instructions. Keep this document and ensure it is read
by all users.

SITING AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
SITING RECOMMENDATIONS
Carry the spa carefully to the installation site, this usually requires four people.
The ground under the spa should be stable and perfectly level (check using a spirit level. If necessary use wedges to level the
spa having first ensured that these wedges are strong enough to support the weight of the filled spa). Check that the ground,
balcony or terrace will bear the total weight of the spa (plus water, plus occupants, see the table below) without any ill effect.
We recommend that the spa be wired by a qualified professional. Refer to the French standard C15-100 for the the volumes that should
be respected with regard to the installation of electrical appliances in the area surrounding the spa.
If the spa is located outdoors:
- the spa should be located at least 3.5m from any plug directly accessible and not protected by an obstacle.
- the power line must be protected by a 30mA differential circuit breaker installed upstream and outside the protected volumes
(0 to 3) (see the diagrams describing protected volumes around swimming pools on page 4).
If the spa is located indoors:
- the spa should be located at least 3.5m from any plug directly accessible and not protected by an obstacle.
- the power line must be protected by a 30mA differential circuit breaker installed upstream and outside the protected volumes
(0 to 3) (see the diagrams describing protected volumes around swimming pools on page 3).
In accordance with French national regulations, there must be a total disconnect mechanism must be installed on the power line.
If there is no isolating switch incorporated into the electrical connection between the differential circuit breaker and the spa, the
circuit breaker must be capable of fulfilling this function is accordance with the stipulations of the French standard C15-100.
Leave a space at least 80 cm wide around the entire periphery of the spa in case it is necessary to gain access to the area under
the surround structure.
- If the spa is installed in a small room, install a dehumidification system.
SAFETY
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Always check the water temperature before getting into the spa.
- Enter and leave the spa slowly and carefully. Wet surfaces could be slippery.
- Never bring an electrical appliance into or near the spa. Never use an electrical appliance in the spa or if you are wet.
- Do not use the spa if the drains (located at the bottom of the spa) are damaged or incomplete.
- Exercise prudence and good sense when using the spa. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can induce a rise in body
temperature leading to dizziness, nausea, fainting, sleepiness or impaired consciousness which could lead to drowning.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs should refrain from using the spa. Using the spa in this condition could have
serious consequences.
- People suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, or any condition monitored by a doctor, along with
pregnant women, older people and young children should seek medical advice before using a spa.
- Young children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Family pets should not be allowed in the spa.
- Install the cover when the spa is not is use.
- Damaged power cables should only be dealt with by your qualified installer.
- Always cut the power supply to the spa before beginning any intervention on the electrical parts.
- The wooden box (steps) protecting the spa pack (pump and other electrical components) must always be in place, except during
maintenance when access to the spa pack may be necessary.

Open the packet of seals and locking tubes delivered with the spa pack and identify the various items:

Place the spa pack opposite the opening left for its connection at the base
of the spa. The male connections of the spa pack should align perfectly with
the female connections on the spa pack mounting plate. If necessary, alter
the height of the anti-vibration pads (up to 8 mm) and loosen the pump
screws to allow adjustment.
LINES AND PIPES:
Each union on the spa pack aligns with its corresponding circuit in the
spa. Insert an o-ring and assemble each union with its corresponding
part. Hand tighten the screws.
The flexible vinyl hose belongs to the ozonator circuit. Join its union to the
corresponding part of the same diameter on the spa. Use the small o-ring
in the union. Connect the two tubes marked “OZONE”, one to the venturi
on the hose, the other to the hose coming from the ozonator. There is no
specific order of connection, the two tubes may be interchanged without
any effect.
Blower : Pull on the air tube and push the smooth union as far as possible
into the mouth of the blower, do not glue. Insert the locking screw into the
blower hole and tighten in order to lock the blower in position.

REMOTE INSTALL SPA PACK DIRECTLY AGAINST THE SPA:
- The spa pack must be installed in a closed, dry location protected from the weather, vibrations, impacts, dust
and water.
- Due to the modifications made to allow remote installation of the spa pack it cannot be housed in the step. It
must be installed against any of the other three sides.
Open the packet of seals and locking tubes delivered with the spa pack and identify the various items:

Take care to ensure that the hose is not pinched or otherwise constricted.
Blower : Pull on the air tube and push the smooth union as far as possible into
the mouth of the blower, do not glue. Insert the locking screw into the blower hole
and tighten in order to lock the blower in position.

Spa pack with Blower
Remote install kits for spa packs with the Blower option include the following additional items:
- 1 barbed union Ø 32 mm
- 2 SS TORRO 20/40 clamps
- 10 meters of air hose Ø 32 mm

Pumps:
Use 1 barbed union at each pump outlet (2 per pump):
- Screw the female half-union (with nut) onto a pump outlet (suction or return).
- The other part of the half union (male) is screwed to the corresponding nut on the spa pack.
Cut the Spirabel hose Ø 50 mm to the correct length and connect the two half-unions (secure on the barbed
unions using the SS TORRO 40/60 clamps).
Blower (spas with blower):
Loosen the clamp and remove the hose (photo opposite).
- On the spa pack side, slide the air hose , Ø 32 mm, onto the
blower’s barbed union.
- On the spa side, use the barbed union to connect the air
hose, Ø32 mm, to that already in position on the spa.
To facilitate sliding of the air hose onto the barbed unions, soften
the ends by soaking them in water at about 40°C. Secure the
hoses in position on the barbed unions using the TORRO 20/40
clamps.
NB, spa packs sold separately: to protect the equipment, make
a loop in the blower hose at the spa outlet.
Ozonator:
Use a solvent union Ø 25 mm
Separate the two parts of the union:
- screw the half-union with nut onto the male outlet of the spa
pack.
- secure the other part of the union to the end of the
ozonator’s vinyl air hose.
Cut the air hose, Ø 32 mm, to the correct length, glue each end
to the half-unions with Pool Tite.

ELECTRICITY:
Remove the front panel from the control panel to carry out the connections.
Panel/spa connections
Pull the spa’s electrical cables into the panel through the slots located on the right-hand side. Cables are colour
coded according to their function. The following cables must be connected:
- temperature probe (1) - Red
- blower (depending on the spa model) - Yellow
- underwater light(s) (1 or 2 depending on the spa model) - Blue
- Touch pad(s) (1 or 2 depending on the spa model).
Carefully connect each cable to its corresponding terminal in the upper right hand section of the electrical panel as
described below. If there are several compatible terminals available (underwater lights, control panels) choose any,
they all have the same function.

230 volt 1ph power supply
A H07RN-F cable must be used to connect the spa to the mains.
Pull the 230 V + earth power cable into the panel through the cable
gland located on the left side of the control panel. The cross section of
this cable should be sized for all the spa equipment (refer to the table
below), and protected upstream by a 30mA differential circuit
breaker (French electrical standard C15-100).
Connect the power cable to the terminal in the upper left section of the
control panel.
Replace the front panel.
Connections should be checked at least three times a year. Dirty
or incorrectly tightened connections could create short circuits
and damage the control panel.

FILLING THE
SPA
Open all the gate valves between the spa and the spa pack. Position the
gate valve locking pins to hold the valves open.
To ensure leak-tightness, make sure that the diverting valves are
correctly tightened before filling the spa. (These valves may be
loosened by vibration during transport.)
Check that the spa gravity drain
valve is closed and that the plug has
been tightened correctly onto the
valve.
Note: leaktightness is ensure by the
gasket at the bottom of the plug.
Fill the spa The optimum water level with all users in the spa is
indicated by the “WATER LEVEL” mark engraved on the skimmer
frame.
The low water level when no users are in the spa should be above
the lower part of the skimmer mouth to avoid air being drawn in by
the skimmer while spa water is being filtered.
Water used: municipal water is the most reliable for filling the spa.
Well water should be avoided due to the high concentrations of
phosphates, nitrates, iron, manganese and, possibly, bacteria.
If a water softener is available, fill the spa entirely or partially with softened water
to avoid the build up of calcium deposits on the walls.
If water is harder (Th) than usual (20°f) the water will need to be treated with a
suitable product (AQUACAL) as soon as the spa is filled. Exposure to hard water
can lead to yellowing of the plastic components (jets, skimmer, air control, etc.)
located both above and below the water line.
Start treating the water as soon as the spa is filled (refer to page 16).
Check the water level regularly and adjust if necessary.
Avoid over-filling the spa, otherwise the spa could overflow when people get in entailing irreversible damage to the
blower and ozonator.
Close the spa cover while the spa is not in use to prevent evaporation, heat loss and pollution of the spa water.
EMPTYING
PORTABLE SPAS
All the spa models are fitted with gravity drains:
- pull on the plug located on the left hand side of the spa pack and
remove the drain hose.
- Check that the valve is closed.
- Unscrew the plug and replace it with the adapter that will accept
the drain hose, then open the valve to empty the spa.
The adapter is included with the spa pack.

FIXING THE STEPS TO THE SPA
CAUTION: POSITION AND BALANCE THE STEP CAREFULLY BEFORE FIXING THE STEP TO THE SPA
Once the step is correctly positioned and balanced, screw it to the spa (through the two pre-drilled holes) using
two screws VB FZ ST 5.0x80x50 SS A2 (screw driver + phillips head)

PRIMING THE
PUMPS
Prime the pumps before using the spa:
- the filter cartridges should be removed from the skimmer to facilitate priming (see page 16).
- loosen the union nut located on the pump suction line (horizontal pipe) in order to allow air to vent until water
flows from the nut.
- tighten the union connection and switch the pump on. The pump should prime and a burst of air should issue
from the massage jets.
- if the pump does not prime quickly, switch it off and start again.
The spa pack may contain one, two or three pumps depending on the model. Repeat this procedure to prime each
pump.
Once the pumps have been primed, replace the filter cartridges.

USING THE SPA
Each pump feeds massage jets in specific zones as marked out below. Pump 1 is a two-speed pump used
alternately for filtration and hydrotherapy massage.
Some zones are supplied by the same pump in an alternating sequence. Depending on its position, a diverting
valve directs the flow from the pump to one zone or another. If the diverting valve is held in an intermediate
position between two zones, this can create turbulence in the circuit and cause the jets to “whistle”. Switch the
diverting valve completely to one position or another to silence this noise.
Each zone features an Air Control that may be used to regulate the air flow through the massage jets.
Note: A suction noise may be heard while the Air Control is set to allow air pass through the massage jets.
IMPORTANT !
A FEW BUBBLES MAY ESCAPE FROM THE JETS WHILE THE AIR CONTROL IS CLOSED, THIS IS NORMAL.
NEVER CLOSE ALL THE MASSAGE JETS IN ONE ZONE AT THE SAME TIME.
LEAVE AT LEAST 3 JETS OPEN TO AVOID PLACING THE PUMPS UNDER UNNESSECCARY STRAIN WHICH COULD LEAD TO DAMAGE.
A DELAY MAY BE NOTED BETWEEN THE OPENING OF THE AIR CONTROL AND THE ISSUING OF AIR BUBBLES FORM THE MASSAGE JETS, THIS
DELAY IS NORMAL, IT CORRESPONDS TO THE TIME TAKEN TO PURGE THE JETS FURTHEST FROM THE AIR CONTROL.

MAINTENANCE
FILTRATION
Spa water is filtered through two filter cartridges located in the skimmer body. Cartridges need to be cleaned
periodically, or replaced if required.
We recommend that you use two sets of filter cartridges alternately so that each set of cartridges may be cleaned
properly while the other is installed in the skimmer.
Periodic maintenance may be programmed using the spa pack’s electronic timer. The timer will then remind the user
to clean the cartridges at the set time. (See maintenance timer configuration in the spa pack manual).
The cleaning interval may vary from one spa to another depending on several criteria (indoor, outdoor installation,
number of users, frequency of use, water temperature, etc.). At the outset, filter cartridges should be checked every
week if the spa is installed outdoors and every 2 weeks if the spa is installed indoors. Afterwards, depending on the
extent of filter clogging, the user will adapt the interval based on experience.
A drop in the flow rate of the massage jets supplied by pump 1 is a typical indication that the filter cartridges are
clogged and require cleaning.

Removal / replacement of the filter cartridges:
- Stop pump 1 (filtration / massage) if it is in operation.
- Holding the skimmer weir, pull the outer frame of the skimmer upwards to release
and remove it (Fig. 1).
- Pull out the basket sliding it horizontally towards the inside of the spa (Fig. 2). The
cartridges are now visible.
- Unscrew the cartridges, turning them anticlockwise (Fig. 3).
Repeat the procedure in the reverse order to replace the clean cartridges.
Cleaning the filter cartridges:
Leave the cartridges steeping in a solution of AQUAFILTER diluted to 25% for 12 hours.
Remove the cartridges and rinse them abundantly using a water jet to remove all trace of
residue (do not use a high pressure water jet). Allow them to dry and then brush them
gently with a hard bristle brush. Store them in a dry place for future use.

OZONATOR
The ozonator should be replaced every 3 to 4 years depending on usage. If the ozonator is not replaced, bubbles
will continue to be released from the ozone return jet, but will not have an efficient ozonating action.
BLOWER
The blower has a service life of 3 to 4 years depending on usage. It should be replaced before this interval expires
and the blower breaks down.
FRAGRANCE DIFFUSER
The fragrance dispenser perfumes the air expelled by the blower. A fragrance pellet will last for 30 hours of blower
operation. To replace a used fragrance pellet or change the fragrance, unscrew the cap of the container on the edge
of the spa. Make sure that the cover of the fragrance dispenser is screwed on correctly to ensure leaktightness. An
incorrectly closed cover can allow air to escape and can allow water to penetrate into the blower causing irreparable
damage.
Only use the aromatherapy bars provided with the spa or sold by Procopi. Never re-impregnate a bar with essential
oils. Some oils, not approved by Procopi, can have an adverse effect on plastics.
ROTATING JETS
The rotating jets are fitted with plastic ball bearings that are inclined to become clogged over time, preventing the
rotation of the jet. To clean the rotating jets:
- insert a screwdriver into one of the notches in the periphery of the rotating part.
- turn the rotating jet gently until you feel the inner locking tab at the tip of the screw driver.
- with one hand, push the screw driver forwards, without forcing, to release the front face and pull this with the other hand.
- clean by injecting compressed air into the rear duct of the jet until it can rotate freely.
- replace the jet: push it in and rotate, pushing gently until the locking “click” is heard.
If water is hard (Th>20°f) and it is not treated, a calcium deposit can build up on the body of the jet and its bearing,
preventing rotation of the jet or interfering with adjustment of the flow-rate by the jet face plate.

WATER TREATMENT
Water pH:
The water pH should be kept between 7.2 and 7.4 to ensure effective sterilisation and avoid damage to users’ skin.
Test the pH regularly and use AQUAPLUS and AQUAMINUS to raise or lower the water pH. Correct by adding these
products in small quantities to avoid swinging to the opposite extreme.
Ozonator:
The spa pack includes an ozonator that generates ozone from the air.
Ozone is a powerful oxidising and disinfecting agent that participates in the sterilisation of the water and thus
reduces the quantity and cost of sterilising chemicals required.
The ozonator is slaved to spa filtration, switching on automatically during filtration periods. A dedicated jet in the
base of the spa releases bubbles of ozone. The reaction time of ozone is approximately 1/10 of a second, water
treatment therefore occurs in the tube and the ozone is no longer reactive once released by the jet.
It is absolutely essential to maintain the correct pH and sterile conditions. Ozone complements chemical
treatment but does not replace it.
The ozonator has a service life of 3 to 4 years after which it should be replaced.
Active oxygen (mono potassium persulphate - OXYSPA) :
Caution, this should not be confused with hydrogen peroxide, another oxygenated compound, that could
cause serious damage to the spa.
Due to its powerful anti-microbial action and the fact it is odourless, active oxygen is the most suitable sterilising
agent for spas.
Dose : 20g per 1000 litres water.
Add a dose once or twice a week depending on the spa’s frequency of use. The dose should be added into the
skimmer basket while the filter is on, 30 minutes before entering the spa.
Shock chlorination:
Carry out a shock chlorination treatment of the spa every month to irradicate any trace of bacteria that could evolve
to resist the treatment used and lodge in inaccessible areas (air and water circuits).
Product : AQUACHOC 60
Dose : 20 g per 1000 litres water.
Pour the dose into the skimmer while the filter is on. Preferably, this should be done after using the spa to allow the
chlorine time to act and to be eliminated before the spa is next used.
The use of hydrogen peroxide to treat water in spas is strictly and formally prohibited.
This chemical could cause damage both to the shell itself and to any plastic fittings.
The use of bromine is also prohibited (bromine is not compatible with PVC).
NEVER POUR ANY CHEMICALS DIRECTLY INTO THE SPA SHELL.

THE ACRYLIC SHELL
To keep the shell surface in good condition, heed the following advice:
- Use standard, NON ABRASIVE household products for most cleaning. Rinse well and dry with a clean cloth.
- NEVER use abrasive cleaning products.
- Do not allow contact with products such as acetone (solvent), nail varnish, dry cleaning products, varnish,
turpentine, etc.
- Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft, damp cloth.
- Use isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth to clean grease, oil, paint and ink stains.
- Do not use razor blades or any other sharp object that could scratch the surface. Small scratches may be
repaired by applying a thin layer of car polish and buffing gently with a clean cloth. For deeper scratches, rub
the surface lightly with 400 grit sand paper (moistened with water), finish with a fine grain sand paper (1000 or
1200) apply polish and buff to a shine.
- Shell accessories (massage jet suction parts, diverting valves, air controls, fragrance diffusers, etc.) should only
be cleaned with a wet sponge.
- The isothermal cover is recommended for outdoor spas. This protects the acrylic shell from temperature
variations between the areas above and below the water line.
The shell is vacuum thermoformed, with this manufacturing process the following particularities are normal:
- slight whitening of the deeper parts of the shell.
- a variation of
± 6 mm in the height of the spa edge.
- a slight crimping of the upper section that can occur when the polyester reinforcement is removed.
- variations in the appearance of acrylic shell surface, it can be granulated or smooth.
THE WOOD SURROUND
The portable version of the spa features a solid red cedar surround that intimates the charm and quality of a handcrafted
finish.
RED CEDAR has a reputation as one of the most hard-wearing and long-lasting types of wood.
Water and damp proof, 100% solid, “clear 2”, uniform colour, no knots. Density 450 Kg/m3
Slat thickness:15 mm.
The wood panelling for the spas is delivered untreated. It is neither painted nor varnished in order to allow the final user
choose the finish.
We recommend that the wood be treated with a wood saturator designed to protect softwoods like Red Cedar.
The saturator penetrates deeply into the wood and forms a layer that nourishes and protects the wood over time.
The wood saturator is rich in natural raw materials, it creates a mat finish similar to that achieved with oil, thus enhancing
the natural elegance of the wood.
Comment: A small gap may be observed between the vertical or horizontal slats of the wood surround. Similarly,
some variations may be observed in the colour. Wood is a living material that works naturally. This
natural process may be accelerated if the wood surround is subject to significant variations in
temperature or humidity.

ISOTHERMAL COVER
We recommend that the isothermal cover be kept on the spa while it is not in use.
The cover fulfils several functions:
- prevents heat loss, generating energy savings
- reduces the quantities of chemicals required
- prevents pollution
- ensures the safety of young children
- protects the acrylic shell
Covers are UV treated. They should only be cleaned with water or soapy water. Do not use any
other cleaning products.
Each cover comes with lockable clips.
Installing the cover:
After unfolding the cover and placing it on the spa, screw the fasteners
to the edge (the screws and the key are provided in a sachet enclosed
with the cover).

LIMITED GUARANTEE
The spas belonging to the SPAFRANCE range are protected by a limited guarantee. This guarantee only
extends to the original purchaser of the spa.
Guarantee coverage:
5 years against any flaw in the shell or shell surface – The spa shell is guaranteed against leaks
attributable to a structural defect for a period of five (5) years as of the initial date of purchase of the spa.
The acrylic surface of the spa is guaranteed against blistering, cracking and delamination caused by a
manufacturing or material defect for a period of five (5) years as of the initial date of purchase of the spa.
2 years against defective component and plumbing – The spa pack components and plumbing
components installed during manufacture are guaranteed for a period of two (2) years as of the first date
of purchase of the spa. Installation of the spa pack at more than 7.5 m from the spa, or use of cables or
extensions other than those provided to remotely install the spa pack will entail cancellation of the
guarantee.
Cover
The cover is guaranteed for a period of two (2) years as of the initial date of purchase of the spa.
Deformation caused by excess loads on the cover are not covered by the guarantee.
Wood surround
The portable spa surround is made of solid Red Cedar. Wood is a living substance, consequently it is
entirely normal to observe variations in the colour of the slats. Depending on its environment wood can
work; the wood surround is therefore not covered by a guarantee.
GUARANTEE LIMITATIONS
The owner of the spa will be held entirely responsible for any repairs to the spa carried out by a person
other than an accredited representative of SpaFrance.
Any modification, incorrect maintenance or inappropriate use of the spa, or any repair performed by a
person other than an accredited representative of SPAFRANCE, will result in the immediate cancellation
of this guarantee. Specifically: damage caused by operating the spa at a temperature outside the range
1°C to 42°C, operating the spa below 230V or above 240V, damage due to clogged or dirty filters, damage
resulting from the absence of the rigid cover, damage caused by using chemically unbalanced water or
water with an unsuitable pH. Do not leave the spa in direct sunlight while it is empty, this can lead to
overheating of the acrylic surface and subsequent delamination or blistering.
