Third Grade Bible Presentation
November 17, 9 and 11 a.m. Services
Third Grade students are presented
Bibles each fall. Eight and nine year
olds are learning the skills necessary to
read chapter books. At this transition
time it is important that they be given
the tools necessary to see how God
is at work in nature and history. They
will be encouraged to read their Bibles
during family time, bed time and on
quiet occasions.

St. Paul’s offering a Grief Support Group
Many of us have experienced loss in the past year. While
we celebrate their lives, we know that with the loss of
someone beloved, grief is inevitable. We also know that
it is often best to walk that path of celebration and grief
with others. St. Paul’s is offering a Grief Support Group
which began on All Saints to help provide important
companionship.
The Rev. Judy Filer will lead a meeting in the Advent
Room for those interested in finding out more about this
Grief Support Group. Light snacks will be provided.
The tentative schedule for the Group will be to meet on Wednesdays from 2 to 3:30
in the Advent Room. We will not meet during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New
Years, and will convene again for a closing meeting in January. This schedule can be discussed
and changed according to the needs of the group. This Grief Support Group is intended for
anyone experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. It may be particularly helpful
for some during the holiday season. Please call the Rev. Judy Filer with any questions.
Her home number is 254-776-4815. Her cell number is 254-722-2013.
United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of the
Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church.
Through United Thank Offering, men, women, and
children nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to
God. These prayers of thanksgiving start when we
recognize and name our many daily blessings. Those
who participate in UTO discover that thankfulness
leads to generosity. United Thank Offering is
entrusted to promote thank offerings, to receive the
offerings, and to distribute the UTO monies to support
mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church
and in invited Provinces of the Anglican Communion
in the developing world.
