Main task are:
• The identify the present status of the region concerning all components,
placing the proposed Protected Area (PA) into the relevant geographic,
biophysical, socio-cultural and legal context, and creating a base line for
follow up of the project’s impact during and after implementation.
•The compiled data and information about flora and fauna, especially
forest cover and species, as well as land use.
•Establishment possible support zone surrounding this area, and as a
basis for the more detailed elaboration of a management plan for the
future protected area.
- analysing the socio-economic situation SYMP and around area.
-Providing meetings and interviews with community representatives, local
authorities and stake holders.
- Conducting survey on social-economy and National Park establishment
problems with local community in Yalama, Nabran, Lecet, Seyidli,
Muhtadir, Susay, Khudat Municipalities
Main Outputs
-Analysis of biotic and abiotic data and socio-economic
situation and legal structure.
-Developing Extensive economic databases structured for
Khachmaz rayon-district and SYNP municipalities
- Developing thematic maps on landscape, soil, climate,
tourism, vegetation, socio-economic situation
The following activities took place:
•Collecting specific biotic and abiotic data of the project region
•Collecting specific socio-economic data of the project region
•Developing database on the basis of collected information
•Developing the following thematic maps in Arc-Map format:
•Landscape;
•Soil types:
•Climate;
•Vegetation;
•Socio-economic situation.
