This year, Boardman’s celebrates 90 years in business. During
that time we’ve become the UK’s leading manufacturer of
on-trend fashion accessories. We look forward, not back. But we
also know that a powerful way to connect with the audience of
the future is to seek inspiration from the past. When your past
stretches back 90 years, that’s a lot of inspiration.
Yvette Jelfs and Boardmans are working to make good millinery
more accessible and to encourage more people into affordable
headwear as well as bespoke millinery. The new collection
draws inspiration through colour, shapes and trims to challenge
the norm whilst providing key pieces that any lady can be
comfortable in.
We hope you enjoy the new collection which is available online
and in our extended Manchester showrooms or by appointment
with one of our team.
About Yvette Jelfs:
Yvette worked for Graham Smith working on model hats for the
Royal family before moving to Luton to learn about production
hats and now creates bespoke pieces from her studio near
St Boswells in the Scottish Borders but also has an atelier in
London in Burlington Gardens.
Her wide range of distinguished private clients are often spotted
sporting a “YJ” piece at the races, society weddings or even at
the Chelsea Flower Show.
