We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2016 EORA
Outdoor Opportunity Grant Program for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Camden County has created a Nature
Explore Classroom out of an 8 acre vacant
lot and renovated building. They will use the
space for classroom and outdoor learning
environments for elementary school aged children. Awarded $1,000
City Kids services at-risk Washington DC children and offers
backpacking, canoeing and horseback riding opportunities at
their summer camps. 8th graders will tackle backpacking Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho.
Awarded $500 www.citykidsdc.org
The Outdoor Opportunity Grant Program was created to support
not-for-profits that expose youth to the outdoors. We’re always on the look
out for other groups so please let us know of any in your area.
2017 applications are available NOW and due back to EORA by September.
