Contact Wardcraft Today. Contact us today to find the Wardcraft Building Professional in your area and set an appointment with him or her. If you do not already own land now is the time to start looking. 2. Pre-Qualify. Visit your local financial institution to pre-qualify and set your budget. Set up a meeting. 3. Select Your Plan. Meet with your local Building Professional to select a design within your budget and place your order. Now you can choose everything from floorplans to colors and discuss timeframes. 4. Obtain a Construction Loan Commitment. Complete your loan application process and obtain a construction loan commitment from your financial institution (loan commitments take time, start this process early). 5. Prepare the Jobsite. 20 Prepare your jobsite by completing the foundation, driveway, installing utilities and performing the necessary grading. Many of our homeowners choose to be their own general contractor and arrange the preparation of the jobsite themselves, while saving money in the process. Completing the foundation in a timely manner will keep your home on schedule. 6. Building Begins. From the time your home starts being built in our production facility it will take 6-8 weeks before it is ready for the journey to your jobsite. We encourage you to visit your home during any phase of construction. 7. Delivery. Your Building Professional will verify the jobsite is ready and arrange delivery of your home. Your Building Professional will complete the roof system and interior finish work, which will typically take 10-45 working days depending upon the complexity of your home. Next you will work through a substantial completion punch list to ensure everything is just as you designed it. 9. Occupancy Permit.
