SHOEI LAUNCH XR-1100
NEW RANGE-TOPPER FROM SHOEI
Shoei have launched the replacement for the XR-1000, the XR1100. The launch was held in Spain, to which FB was exclusively
invited. We sent Charlie to check out Shoei’s latest piece of
cranial porn.
“The XR-1100 is extremely light, stylish and comfortable,”
said Charlie, “Extended cheek pads aid comfort and also
cuts out much of the wind-rush you get at speed. The new
spring-loaded visor is not only draft free, but the new Pinlock
arrangement also gives you a full range of vision.”
“In the searing heat of Barcelona’s mountain roads, the new
XR-1100’s ventilation system keeps even the most outrageously
hot head, cool. The controlled flow of air passing through
the helmet lining is pulled via four exit vents; it’s extremely
effective. It’s been five years coming and it’s been worth the
wait. The XR-1100 is a brilliant helmet,” said Charlie.
The XR weighs in at £299 for plain colours, and £379 for
