About
Sarah Tacoma's photography is a mixture
of skill and inspiration resulting in
dreamlike and evocative landscapes. Her
photos are mounted on boards which are
then treated with beeswax, creating a
'focus pull' effect and a softening of image.
She is a mother of three wonderful little
children and bakes a mean loaf of bread.
David Marshak has been painting the
Canadian landscape, both urban and rural
for more then twenty years. Inspired by
light, his paintings depict far flung, pristine
vistas and urban environments. He paints
(between diaper changes for his twin girls)
in his adjoined studio next to his wife Sarah
Tacoma in Kimberley, Ontario, in the heart
of the Beaver Valley.

Pottery
About
Thereʼs a reason why a laborious
technique like wood fired, soda glazed
porcelain has survived through the ages…
it is gorgeous! But itʼs not very common
anymore. So make sure to come by and
see Marcelinaʼs work. The surfaces are the
result of long standing techniques, the
forms are contemporary and speak to the
dynamics of modern home life. The
studio is open year round, by chance or
appointment.
