See page 16 for policies and procedures. LEARN TO ROCK CLIMB CLASSES Rock climbing is a great challenge; physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s also tons of fun! We offer rock climbing trips to many locations in New Mexico year-round. Taught by an AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructor, so you are guaranteed quality instruction, a safe experience, and small class size. GYM 101 Learn the basics of climbing, using equipment and belaying another climber in the gym. Classes include an evening in the indoor climbing gym to introduce you to the knots and rope systems of climbing, and a full day outside on the cliffs. Experienced climbers may opt out the evening portion and just enjoy a day of climbing in the New Mexico sun! Participants must be at least 5 years old. INTRODUCTION TO LEAD CLIMB Learn the fundamentals of sport climbing in the gym. Participants must be comfortable climbing 5.9 and falling. A great new skill set to learn/review. Must provide own harness, but all other equipment is provided. CLIMBING MOVEMENT Are you climbing efficiently? Learn proper climbing technique and improve your skills in this class... Great class for beginners to advanced. KIDS ROCK! Get’em started young! This is a great introduction to gym climbing for the younger climbers. The goal of this class is to get kids comfortable with climbing. Ages 5 to 10. PRIVATE CLASSES One on one instruction for all ages and abilities. $30 per one 60 minute class or $50 for 2 hour class. Contact ODR Adventure Programmer at 505-846-3923 for arrangement. LEARN TO RAPPEL A super fun introduction to the vertical world of rappelling. This adventure will teach you the basics of rappelling physics, equipment, technique, anchors and safety. Minimum age is 12. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. TRADITIONAL CLIMBING Learn the skill of traditional climbing in this 3day class. Learn to place and remove gear while lead climbing, build anchors, belay for a leader and belay a second climber from the top of the cliff. It takes years to master the art of traditional climbing. This class gives you the opportunity to safely and rapidly build a foundation without investing hundreds of dollars in gear. Students should have top rope climbing experience and solid top rope belay skills.
