“Alive Cymbals is a premium collection of 8 cymbal instruments with derived sound design
patches for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Developed by Nicolas Signat in conjunction with Sampleism.
Each cymbal has been captured using Audio Technica microphones and Nagra LB recorders
and preamps in 88,2kHz 24 bit, edited in the same resolution and then down sampled into
44,1kHz 24 bit with Izotope SRC.”
The cymbals have been extensively sampled with stick, brush, mallet and/or bow articulations
and each instrument features several round robins and velocity layers with full sustain.
Recording took place in a warm room in stereo (close position).
The sound is raw, vibrant, accurate, and extremely musical.
We have also created several prepared "sound designed" instruments.
(strange pads, weird bells and pianos, sci-fi fx) with modwheel control and more.
