Welcome
to Nicaragua
Located in the heart of the Central American isthmus, Nicaragua is the land bridge
between North and South America. It separates the Pacific Ocean from the Caribbean
Sea. The bellybutton of America is unique, due to its almost virgin land. Our republic
is being rediscovered as a key part of a wonderful natural world. Nicaragua's great culture and history have much to offer. This unique stretch of land offers a variety of tropical fruits unknown to the rest of the world, one of the largest lake of the world and
many biological reserves and nature parks with their native plant and animal species.
We invite you to experience this extraordinary culture and exceptional natural beauty
among the most amiable people on earth. Our team of experts in alternative and sustainable tourism specializes in organizing unique lifetime experience for your clients.
Each tour package reflects their interests, personal needs, and budget. Flexibility and
creativity allow us to design programs for individuals, retired or student groups, suggest
multiple package options, or recommend an exclusive itinerary with private plans and
deluxe accommodations. We have best specialist Ecological, Culture, Adventure and
Incentive Programs. You and your clients remain confident that all is taken care of

Leon Cathedral
Granada, located 46 km south of Managua, was founded by
the Spanish conquistador Francisco Hernández de Córdoba
in 1524. It sits beside the magnificent Lake Nicaragua (Lake
Cocibolca.) Granada is considered the oldest city on firm
land founded by the Spanish in the Americas. It's colonial
and new classic architecture, unique location and people
combine to make it the jewel of Central America.
León, located about 90 km Northwest of Managua, was, for
many years, the main political, military, cultural, and religious
center of Nicaragua. The Spanish influence of its colonial
heritage is still visible in its streets, buildings and monuments.
4
The Metropolitan Cathedral is considered by many to be the
most impressive colonial monument in all Central America-due
to its grand construction, arches, altars, and collection of
statuettes that reveal the development of religious art from
the mid-1700s. Its oil paintings of sacred images are famous
and under one of its arches, the remains of some of the
most influential men, governors, and historians of Nicaragua
lie buried. The remains of the notable Nicaraguan poet,
Rubén Darío, prince of the Castilian language, lie buried at
the foot of the statue of Saint Paul.

Fisher man at Lake Nicaragua
Ometepe Island
Million years ago the great American Continent was connected.
Lake Cocibolca (Lake Nicaragua) is the navel of the same.
Meeting point of the indian cultures of the north and the
south.
Once an Indian woman felt the sadness of the night and visited
a wise priest. He told her to cry over a fruit basket and fill it
with her tears. The priest brought an eagle egg, filled tears
in and told her to take it to a place with two volcanoes.
She set out on her journey. When she reached the spot, the
egg fell from the basket and the tears overflowed to form the
Great Lake Nicaragua-held sacred by the Indians of the
region. The lake has a surface area of 8,264 sq. Km., with
350 islands and an average depth of 70 meters. It is a challenge
to fisherman, swimmers and wind surfers.

Nicaragua has some of the best Beaches in Central America. A
wide variety of choices on the Caribbean and Pacific beckon.
The Caribbean, generally, has white sandy beaches, light blue
waters and small waves.
Two islands, Great Corn and Little Corn Island share the
Caribbean Sea off the coast of Nicaragua. The Pacific has dark
sandy beaches, darker blue waters and large waves. In San
Juan del Sur there are great conditions for surfing; while the
