About Us
In 2011, Bill Mitchell Jr. assumed full control of Bill Mitchell Products.(BMP) BMP has always been a mail order company supplying
hardcore racing products from radiators to race engines. At this time, Bill has decided to take the brand to the next level, acquiring
the entire aluminum product line of World Products. This line includes engine blocks, cylinder heads and intake manifolds. These
products will now be marketed and sold under the Bill Mitchell Products (BMP) brand. The very first thing we had decided was that
if these items would carry the BMP name then quality would be the number one and most important goal in this new venture. In
order to do this we made a bold move and decided to start completely over. We changed foundries to more modern and state of
the art facilities. In addition we made upgrades to the tooling to add some features that we have wanted to do for a long time. We
also moved to new machining centers that better understand what we are trying to accomplish. We built entirely new machine
fixtures to guarantee the absolute highest standards of appearance and precision for our products. We are dedicated to provide
the best product for our customers. Our 25 years of Racing experience & thousands of Dyno Tests and years of Engine Building is

ALUMINUM BLOCKS
The BMP SBC Aluminum Block stands apart from all
others by serving several important functions, such as
stabilizing and reinforcing the cylinder walls and
enhancing cooling. They look cool too. There are also
reinforcing ribs in the valley that connect the banks and
add stability to the lifter bores. The ribs are drilled to
cross-feed the lifter galleys. What’s more, the block is
configured for priority main oiling to assure that the
crankshaft is lubricated before the lifters.

BMP LS Chevy
ALUMINUM BLOCKS
The ultimate in replacement for Chevrolet LS1, LS7 or
C5R blocks, BMP’s LS block is cast from 357-T6
aluminum, the absolute strongest available, and has
important improvements that even factory race blocks
don’t have. This translates into engine builders being able
to obtain more power and enjoy improved reliability with
BMP LS engines. Main caps made of 1045 alloy steel
billet, tougher than the 1020 steel used by others. The
caps are located by ring dowels and secured with 200,000
psi tensile strength 7/16” ARP main studs and 8mm crossbolts. A priority main oiling system, which feeds the
crankshaft first and the top-end last. Water jackets are
redesigned to provide more support around the cylinder important for big boost applications. In order for engine
builders who employ power adders to maintain high
combustion pressures with complete reliability, we
improved the sealing of the LS. We added provisions for
the optional use of two extra head studs per cylinder.
They work in concert with the BMP 12° LS7 cylinder
heads, which also have the extra bolt holes. Please note
that the cast iron GM LSX block and the BMP LS block do
not have identical locations for the extra head bolts,
however, standard 4-bolt GM LS heads will fit. Our
machining process is to QS9000 standards & are CNC
machined in only two fixturing positions, which prevents
the problems that can occur with production line blocks
that are machined in multiple operations and the
tolerances stack from one machine to the next. Bottom
line, BMP’s LS is the most advanced, precision made LS
block on the market!

In the highly refined BMP BBC aluminum block we
have incorporated a significant number of key
technical features that set it apart from the
competition. And because it’s been designed
specifically for the street, marine and “Super” drag
class market, the price is very competitive. Dollar for
dollar, you won’t find a better value in big block
Chevrolet technology. It’s manufactured to QS-9000
quality control standards. One easy to spot difference
between the MERLIN X and others is the use of
horizontal ribs. Not only do they look cool, but they
also serve to improve engine cooling and reinforce the
cylinder bores. Total bottom end dependability is
achieved through the use of 1045 alloy steel billet
splayed 4-bolt mains (much stronger than commonly
used 1020 steel) with genuine ARP main studs and
nuts. The BMP BBC is compatible with all GM Gen IV
components (cam location is standard) and is the best
foundation for building a large displacement big block
Chevrolet with total reliability. Factor in pricing that’s

BMP 409 W Block
ALUMINUM BLOCKS
THE FIRST NEW 409 SINCE TO 60’S!!!
BMP has announced an intriguing new aluminum replacement
block for the desirable Chevy 409 engine. Weighing 140 lbs.
lighter than the original, BMP has resurrected a big block from
the early nineteen sixties. The distinctive, embracing
appearance of the 409 water pump is retained, as are most of
the engine’s external surface areas. Inside, however, the new
cast aluminum block embraces modern big block technology.
The position of the camshaft is raised by .250-inches from its
original 409 location. It uses a standard Big Block Chevy
timing chain & cover. GM’s original 409 engine featured a 3.5inch stroke that could be extended to 4.0 inches. This BMP’
block permits a stroke length of 4.500 inches, offering a
potential displacement of 540 cubic inches. The original 409
when endowed with a 4.0-inch stroke was limited to 482.
Four-bolt main caps replace the original two-bolt layout, and
both the main bearing journals and the rod bearing journals
are designed for today’s superior, high performance bearings.
The rod bearings for the original 409 were adequate for
greater power output but the mains were not. Approximately
25 technical innovations have been incorporated in this new
engine block. It utilizes modern big block Chevy crank, rods,
oil pan and timing cover and many readily available parts to
achieve a convenient and affordable build.

BMP Small Block Ford
ALUMINUM BLOCKS
The BMP SBF aluminum block represents the state of the
art design in small block Ford technology, incorporating
many important features that leading Ford racers have
asked for. Tipping the scales at only 90 lbs. the BMP
SBF is reinforced throughout, and has provisions for two
extra head bolts per cylinder to provide superior clamping
of the heads, essential for high combustion pressure
applications. BMP SBF10° cylinder heads are similarly
equipped to be the perfect match to the block. Add 1045
billet steel splayed 4-bolt mains and ARP hardware for
bottom end strength and bring on the power adders!
There are many important reasons why our aluminum
blocks are the most reliable of their kind on the market. It
features a priority main oiling system which ensures that
the crankshaft is lubricated first and the cylinder heads
last. Water jackets are expanded over other block
designs to improve cooling. And the block is reinforced in
all critical areas, including bulkheads, mains, and valleys.

World Products has developed a refined version of its
popular MOTOWN block in the form of the MOTOWN
II, and now offers it in over two dozen iterations for
small block Chevrolet applications. The MOTOWN II
boasts 152 fluid ounces of coolant per side and has
demonstrated stability lauded by racers and
professional engine builders alike. A MOTOWN block
won the inaugural Engine Masters Challenge and it
was worth about 20 horsepower over others, thanks to
its outstanding design and overall stability.
The Motown blocks are designed to be a replacement
for the small block chevy two piece seal, driver side
dipstick applications. In applications where the
cylinder bore is 4.200 or the combination is making
700 plus HP normally aspirated or the block is being
used in a nitrous or blower application, it is HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED to use the Motown block with the
billet main caps
The new Motown II RC features a +.134 raised cam
location which allows the use of a 4.000” stroke with
H-beam rods and a 50mm cam bore. The Motown II
RC also features bushed lifter bores in your choice of
.842 or .904. These upgrades provide exceptional
valve train stability. Timing sets are readily available
from PBM Performance Products. PBM part#
8981TRC or 8981TARC w/ adjustable upper gear.

We've redesigned the basic small-block cylinder block
on the inside to accept modern GM LS cylinder heads
and aspiration equipment. It's an exotic development
that makes tremendous power. We've seen 650 HP
and beyond with a single four-barrel and a classic 427
cubic inch displacement, with a broad rpm range to
about 6,500 rpm. both the small-block and LS engine
designs use 4.40-inch bore centers, so the LS heads'
combustion chambers line up perfectly over the small
block's cylinders. The Motown LS block is also
designed for the water flow characteristics and bolt
pattern of the LS head. It is manufactured with a 9.240inch deck height that matches production LS blocks, so
off-the-shelf LS manifolds bolt right up. Headers
designed for LS-style cylinder heads are required.
The Advantages of the Motown LS Block are many:
• Simple, easy installation in any chassis set up for a traditional Chevy small-block
• No expensive custom motor mounts, oil pan or other materials required to swap in an LS
engine into a vehicle set up for a traditional small-block
• Better windage performance than an LS-style block helps the engine make more power
than conventional small block or LS-type engines of similar displacements
• Maintains conventional distributor-triggered ignition
(LS engines use a crank-triggered ignition)

World’s continually upgraded MERLIN cast iron
block is the perfect foundation for any big block
Chevrolet engine assembly. Made of a high density
iron and manufactured to QS-9000 specifications on
just two fixtures to eliminate tolerance stacking
common on production lines, the MERLIN III can be
bored to a maximum of 4.625” and is clearanced for
a 4.375” crank on a 9.800 Deck height and 4.750 on
a 10.200 Deck height. With a reinforced bottom end
featuring 4-bolt splayed main caps, the MERLIN III
can handle serious horsepower with complete

From all measurable standards, World Products’
trendsetting SBF cast iron block is the ultimate
replacement for factory 302 blocks. It comes in various
deck heights to match the application. The 8.2” block is a
direct bolt in for 5.0L Mustangs and compatible with OEM
heads and exhaust systems. You should know that the
SBF block was used to win the Engine Masters
Challenge, and that its design allows huge
displacements. Add provisions for 2 extra bolts per
cylinder and you can see why it’s a favorite of serious
Blue Oval racers! The SBF block was designed from
scratch (in collaboration with a leading NASCAR team)
using CAD/CAM and 3D design technology. With the
ability to design not only the part but the tooling to
manufacture it, World’s engineering team has come up
with an elegant design that can be cast and machined to
exacting specs. Like all other World blocks, this is
machined using only two fixturing operations, avoiding
the tolerance stacking found in OEM production lines.

12° ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEADS
For maximum performance from an LS-series engine,
our LS7 12° heads are the answer. As a result of
superior port design, the BMP LS7 12° has 285cc
intake and 106cc exhaust runners that flow incredible
numbers. If even more flow is desired, BMP offers
CNC-ported versions of this head that boast 296cc
intake and 110cc exhaust runners. Available as bare
castings or in race-ready assemblies that have a multiangle intake valve job and radiused exhaust, are
equipped with stainless Manley 2.250” diameter intake
and 1.625” exhaust valves, high performance springs
and Manley chrome moly retainers. Rocker Pads milled
flat for Jesel or T&D Shaft Systems only. The heads
can accommodate 1.625 diameter valve springs and
valves with an overall length of 5.500”. An important
feature of the BMP12° head is that it comes with two

This highly evolved, race-proven cylinder head is
capable of supporting in excess of 800 horsepower in
“as cast” form. Our BMP Aluminum Cylinder Heads are
available with 310cc or 350cc intake runners. The
exhaust ports are 132cc. For those seeking more
power, Bill Mitchell Products offers it’s Aluminum
Cylinder Heads with CNC-ported combustion chambers
and ports. This raises the bar to a choice of 350 or
380cc intake runners. The net result is a head that
combines excellent flow and velocity and has been
proven to produce 40 horsepower more than the ascast BMP Big Block Chevy Heads on a 572 C.I.D.
engine. It is also a great value!

A true high performance head, capable of
supporting 800+ horsepower right out of the box!
This all-new design from Bill Mitchell’s
engineering team combines flow characteristics
common to expensive race-only heads with exotic
splayed valve setups designed to accept up to
2.350" and 1.880" valves, as well as “standard”
Mark IV intake systems. This has been
accomplished through “rolling” the head to a 16°
valve angle, designing highly efficient intake and
exhaust ports and using a special 80cc
combustion chamber. They’re available bare, or in
two different assemblies that are designed to
match your camshaft’s valve spring requirements.
A multi-angle valve job and Manley stainless steel
valves make the assemblies an excellent value
and a real time-saver for engine builders

S/R CAST IRON CYLINDER HEADS
There are several important reasons why World’s
S/R cylinder heads are the preferred alternative to
expensive OEM castings or junkyard rebuilds.
These heads are designed with extra-thick decks
and walls for improved reliability as well as
equipped with hardened steel exhaust seats that
are compatible with today’s unleaded gasoline.
They come with screw-in rocker arm studs for
extra durability. Valve cover rails have been
raised and carefully machined to eliminate oil
leaks and the heads can accommodate either
early style perimeter or late model center bolt
valve covers. they are legal for use by many oval
tracks and race Sanctioning organizations.
Secondly, they are fully 50-state emissions legal
and because they are an OEM replacement head.
NHRA accepts World castings #043600 and
#043610 as replacements for Chevrolet 041,
186, 291, 462 and 492 cylinder heads. World

While most manufacturers of small block Chevy intake manifolds have
designed theirs around 350 CID engines, Bill Mitchell HARDCORE Racing
Products has developed a very efficient manifold that’s proven to increase
performance by 15-25 horsepower over the competition in larger displacement
(383 c.i.d. and up) engines. In addition to out-powering the competition, it’s
important to note that these single plane manifolds are designed to operate
most efficiently in the 2500-7500 RPM range, yet have the low-end throttle
response and torque comparable to a dual plane. Look inside the plenum and
you’ll see a “turtle” on the manifold floor that helps bottom-end performance.
Models that accommodate a 4150-style carburetor are available for standard
SBC (P/N 061040) and “Vortec” (P/N 061041) heads. Also available with a
4500 Dominator-style flange (P/N 061050).

Because Bill Mitchell Products specialized in large displacement
engines, it would stand to reason that our company would develop
intake manifolds designed for big-inch motors. This is certainly the
case with the Merlin Big Block Chevy series of intakes, of which
several models are intended for use on 500 cubic inch and larger
big block Chevy engines. In fact, an extensive manifold dyno test
on a 632 C.I.D, the BMP Big Block Intake (p/n 063041) produced
35 more horsepower than the competition. In addition to outpowering the competitor's manifolds, it’s important to note that the
single plane manifolds are designed to operate most efficiently in
the 2500 to 7500 RPM range (3500-8500 for dominator manifolds)
yet still maintain excellent low-end throttle response. They are also
equipped with bosses to accommodate installing nitrous oxide port
nozzles. Models that accommodate a 4150-style carb and those for
a 4500-style “Dominator” are offered for both standard and tall
deck applications
To provide an ample volume of air and fuel for large cubic inch
engines, while maintaining good velocity was the challenge facing
BMP’s engineering team. Following extensive R&D, the new BMP MX
became a reality. It's ideally suited to 540 and larger displacement, and
has proven to deliver excellent power for big 632+ inch motors! Best of
all, it is truly versatile, and combines excellent throttle response with
solid top-end power. It's designed exclusively for 4500-series

“Off-The- Shelf” performance carburetor at an
affordable price. The "HO" was designed with the
Pro-Street and bracket racer in mind featuring
crisp throttle response, great drivability, and killer
acceleration. These carburetors are equally at
home on the street or race track and ready to
ship. "HO Carburetors" are available in 650 - (2)
750 - 850 - 950 - 1000 cfm models. HO’s include a
milled choke housing or HP body, fully CNC
machined and deburred main body surfaces, high
flow boosters and metering blocks, four corner
idle, special AED calibration and fuel curve, dual
accelerator pumps, new replaceable idle air
bleeds on all models, new aluminum bowls with
large sight window, non-stick gaskets, dual
vacuum ports, and Killer Performance. "HO"s are
designed for single four barrel normally aspirated
engines, but BMP offers Blower, and Marine
versions to meet your needs.

Bill Mitchell Products is now making available a line of rotating assemblies
based on its long history of producing the World Products Crate Engine
Program several years ago. The Manley kits are all factory balanced to within
1% of the bobweight, precision balancing is additional. The BMP kits all require
balancing. They are available as ready to buy combinations or can be ordered
by phone for custom kits.
Bill Mitchell Products is now making available a line of "Engine Builder
Special" short block kits. These kits supply a standard part numbered block
and an unbalanced rotating assembly to enable your own machine shop to
finish your short block assembly to their own standard of excellence. You end

WARRANTY TERMS:
Bill Mitchell Products manufactures parts to meet QS 9000 specifications. In addition, all our parts
go through several inspection procedures before shipping. However, YOU ARE THE FINAL
INSPECTOR. Please note: Inspect all parts thoroughly before doing any machine work or
assembly. Once machine work or any modification has been done, the warranty is void.
Remember the saying “measure twice and cut once.”
If any defects are found or suspected, Please call BMP before proceeding. BMP will replace or
repair at our discretion, upon inspection any defective part which has not been modified or
misused within one year of the INVOICE purchase date.
Not Covered Under Warranty:
Modified parts, Use in any Marine, Competition or Nitrous and power adder applications. These are
all extreme applications that require many variables all to be correct such as timing, fuel systems
and tune ups. This does not apply to BMP produced marine cylinder heads or intake manifolds. In
these cases, BMP has designed the part specifically for this application.
Bill Mitchell Products MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING
PARTS. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IT IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF, AND Bill
Mitchell Products HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED,
IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Bill Mitchell Products sole and exclusive obligation and liability with respect to parts sold is
expressly limited to repair or replacement, at Bill Mitchell Products option, of parts. In no event will
Bill Mitchell Products be liable for any claim of any kind for direct or indirect incidental,
consequential or special damages, whether known or unknown, including without limitation, cost
of labor, installation, disassembly, lost revenues and profits, loss of property, production, or injury
to persons and/or property. The maximum liability of Bill Mitchell Products for any and all damages
with respect to any part is limited to an amount not to exceed the original purchase price of the
part. This warranty gives specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
DO NOT CONTACT THE DEALER FROM WHICH YOU PURCHASED YOUR PARTS.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:
Contact Customer Service to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number directly from
Bill Mitchell Products for any warranty return. DO NOT CONTACT THE DEALER. DO NOT RETURN
PARTS WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. Returned product must be shipped prepaid. COLLECT
SHIPMENTS WILL BE REFUSED. Returned parts must have RMA Number on the outside of the
package, a copy of the original bill of sale inside and a written explanation of the suspected defect.
If the item is found defective, Bill Mitchell Products will repair or replace it at its discretion and
return it freight prepaid. No additional labor claims will be paid.

manufacturers products should be directed to those manufactures. We do not have your engine
combo or other manufactures' products on hand to make comparisons.
