Sales FUN Day — May 5, 2015 6-Pack 1 Pack SPECIAL EDITION SALES FUN DAY MAY 5, 2015 Teamwork Garners $900K in Revenue for Sales FUN Day Basketball great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a philosophy when it comes to teamwork. He said, “Five guys on the court working together can achieve more than five talented individuals who come and go as individuals.” Our corporate and franchise Motel 6/Studio 6 teams used a full-court press during this spring’s Sales FUN Day on April 22. We studied our selling playbooks, stretched to reach those potential customers and slam-dunked on the sale. We may be good at selling individually, but what a difference it makes when we team up and show everyone why Motel 6/Studio 6 is the best. In one day, we made nearly 7,000 points of contacts and converted 15 percent of those into room sales right away. All of this equates to over $900,000 in revenue! Joe Christie, Vice President—sales, couldn’t be more pleased with the work of the team members at our properties, both corporateowned and franchise, as well as the regional staff and sales teams to achieve these results. “Thanks to all our participants who took 100% Responsibility and made this a great Sales FUN Day,” he said. “It was an outstanding effort all across the enterprise. We can do great things when we are actively engaged and focused on success.” This special edition of the 6-Pack highlights how our team members carried out one of our best Sales FUN Days ever. Take a look at how we prepared and made the sale. Let’s keep the momentum going — our fall Sales FUN Day is just around the corner! G6 Communications Department GM Toya Jackson used her Sales FUN Day goody bags to showcase how petfriendly Motel 6 is. Her team at East Peoria, Ill., #80, took animal figurines from a dollar store and attached a Motel 6 logo to include in their gift bags. This is just one example of the great teamwork involving our Sales team and a franchise property.
