The situation of Masia Corral D’en Capdet in the Garraf
National Park of Masia is very hard to beat. As well as

gives easy access to the attractive seaside resort of
Sitges, all the culture and sport of Barcelona and the
ski slopes of the Pyrenees and Andorra.The wealth of
activities on the doorstep makes the region appealing
to visit whatever the time of year.
The Garraf National Park
This majestic and unspoilt limestone-based landscape seems
as far away as possible from modern civilisation. A fascinating
area for hiking and cave exploration, the park also boasts two
impressive peaks, La Morella and El Rascler, and a rare mix of
flora and fauna. Holm Oaks and white Pine dominate much of
the region whilst ornithologists will enjoy sighting a number
of birds on the brink of extinction such as the falcon and the
African hawk-eagle.
Sitges – Costa Daurada
Just 5 minutes drive away is the lively town of Sitges. With
17 sandy beaches, it is a popular holiday destination but has
retained its original charm and Catalan character. The town has
many excellent restaurants and bars serving both local dishes
and international cuisine whilst the culturephile will revel in the
many galleries and museums.
The picturesque art deco and medieval streets play host to
a succession of colourful festivals and parades, and there are
frequent live concerts and exhibitions.
Barcelona
The centre of Barcelona is just 40 minutes away by car, with
the option of a direct train which takes you to the heart of
Barcelona in 25 minutes.
As one of the world’s truly global cities, Barcelona is a hub
for the arts, fashion, media and science, not to mention its
famous football team. Its accessibility via both a major airport
and one of the Mediterranean’s principal seaports makes it
one of Europe’s leading trade fair, conference and exhibition
destinations. Road links and a high-speed rail network connect
the city to France and the rest of the continent.

Barcelona delights the eye with its famous Gaudi architecture
and offers no end of shopping opportunities and culinary

Priorat Wine Areas
Should you need a change from your own home produced
Muscatel, the nearby Priorat region produces a deep, intense
red wine.
The area has been producing wine since the 12th century
when Carthusian monks planted a vineyard. Now modern
technologies have been applied to the age-old techniques and
the vineyards are producing some of the best-known wines in
Spain. Indeed the region has now been awarded the Spanish
Denominaciones de Origen Calificadas (DOC, or DOQ in
Catalan) in recognition of its quality.
Universal Studios Port Aventura Theme Park
Just south of Tarragona, and less than an hour’s drive from Sitges,
this popular theme park is the biggest in the South of Europe,
attracting 3 million visitors a year. As well as white-knuckle
roller-coaster rides like the Furius Baco, the park features a
Caribbean style aquatic centre.

The area has its own microclimate resulting in almost 300 days
of sunshine per year. Even in winter, it is often warm enough to
sit outside or visit the beach.
A Design for Living, Entertaining and Rental
Leading Catalonian architect, Lluis-Jubert’s vision for Masia Corral D’en Capdet
will see the main property extended by 30% plus the addition of a luxurious
pool. The guest house will also be refurbished and expanded by 30% with a
separate pool of its own. The entire property has already been granted a ‘Licencia
de actividades’ allowing commercial rental. An access road with river crossing will
be constructed and electricity and water installation plans are all approved.

The Man behind the vision
T
he ambitious and exciting plans for
Masia Corral D’en Capdet have all been
approved and are simply awaiting execution.
Their author is Lluis-Jubert, a highly
acclaimed Catalan architect, famous for his
apartment buildings, interior design,
outdoor spaces and urban planning. His
studio has been awarded many different
prizes including: The House George
Cantarell (FAD Award 1998), the Bar
Jazzmatazz (nominee for FAD award 1998),
House Ribas (nominated for FAD award
2004), Consultorio Local in Estartit (1st
prize 2011).
