Welcome to Halcyon
Halcyon Manufacturing came into existence as a company solely focused upon providing
the best possible diving experience. This focus on creating high performance diving
equipment was applied equally to recreational and technical diving systems. In fact,
despite being known as a pioneer in technical diving, Halcyon was also the first company
to produce a purpose-built recreational BC with back-mounted flotation and a rigid, formfitting harness system. Our recreational and technical systems have always focused like
a laser on enabling divers with the most refined and efficient diving equipment possible.
These high performance systems allow divers to get the most out of every diving
opportunity.
In order to accomplish our goals, Halcyon was forced to start from the ground up, creating
a vertically integrated company with design and manufacturing capacity informed by some
of the world’s most active recreational and technical divers. This early success initiated our
history as a technical diving leader with a global collection of premiere explorers relying
upon our equipment in the world’s most demanding diving environments. More than a
decade later this same high performance focus remains an integral part of our company’s
mission. You might even say that creating high performance equipment is part of our DNA.

Halcyon Dive Systems
Halcyon’s highly efficient diving system results from a careful focus on minimalism and streamlining that
enables recreational and technical divers to get the most out of their diving. This high performance focus
creates the “technical” appearance of our equipment. But technical really just means purpose, and our
purpose is to provide the absolute best possible diving experience.
In the early years only technical divers seemed to care much about performance diving. This is because
the benefits of efficiency could be critical in such environments. Over time recreational divers also began
to appreciate Halcyon equipment as it allowed them to get the most out of their diving. This is because
our systems reduce drag and complexity while creating a custom fit with a highly stable diving system. In
fact, these high performance BCs are likely the most efficient diving systems ever constructed.
At the heart of every system is our signature harness and backplate. This infinitely adjustable system
provides a stable, form-fitting platform and accommodates a variety of buoyancy configurations. The
custom-tailored “wings” promote a vastly superior diving position, encouraging horizontal position with
an exceptionally streamlined form factor. When paired with our refined, variable weight (Aluminum or
Stainless) backplate, the Halcyon Dive System offers a system that optimizes your performance regardless
of your environment or style of diving.
Single-Tank BC Systems
Halcyon buoyancy compensators enjoy overwhelming
popularity among recreational divers worldwide with
two different lift capacities and two styles of harness
adjustment. Our Infinity Dive System supports a patentpending Cinch Quick-adjust harness and allows divers
to create the perfect fitting system in the time it takes
to buckle your seat belt. The Infinity combines amazing
comfort with unparalleled streamlining and diving
efficiency. Meanwhile our wildly popular Eclipse BC
remains ready to support all your diving needs with our
classic secure harness system and is also available in two
lift capacities.
Double-Tank BC Systems
Halcyon buoyancy compensators have long been recognized as
the established standard for double-tank diving. A range of unique
innovations continue to improve upon this reputation, resulting in two
distinct styles of buoyancy compensators. Halcyon’s inventive Evolve
BC utilizes a circular design and represents the most substantial
advancement in the history of double-tank systems. The classic
Explorer design incorporates a range of advancements while building
upon our long-established horseshoe shape wing. Both wing types are
available with our patent-pending Cinch Quick-adjust harness system
or with our classic secure harness system.

Dive System Components and Weighting
Halcyon’s modular approach to buoyancy compensation allows you to configure your single or double-tank
BC system to meet the needs of any diving environment. Your system can be configured to quickly go from
single tank to double tanks, with a simple switch of your buoyancy compensator. The same foundation can
be reconfigured for single-tank diving in warm, blue waters, complete with integrated weighting, and then
easily converted for diving double tanks, multiple stages, and a drysuit—all with the simple substitution of
a few items drawn from the complete line of Halcyon BC Components and Weighting Systems.

CINCH QUICK-ADJUST HARNESS
CINCH QUICK-ADJUST HARNESS
The Halcyon Cinch Quick-adjust harness sets a new standard in recreational and technical BC systems. The Cinch
(patent pending) can be used with single or double tanks and allows easy harness adjustability while avoiding
“quick-release” buckles and dangling webbing. Simply push or pull the webbing and your size adjustment is
complete.
This quick, easy-fit system allows divers to size a snug
harness without compromising easy
removability. It is ideal for student training and rental
departments or for divers who wear suits
of varying thickness.
The system is easily adjustable in or out of the
water, making it the best choice for convenient,
in-water equipment removal. The Cinch is also
very effective during emergency situations.
To Tighten: Using both hands, grasp the waist band webbing
and pull up and outward from the body, at about 45°.
To Loosen: Grasp the harness at the shoulder straps, push the

Cinch Quick-adjust Harness Components:
1. Cinch Adapter Plate - High-quality, molded ABS plate is uniquely designed to fit the contours of your Halcyon backplate, providing
unprecedented adjustability without the risk of quick-release buckles or the hassle of dangling webbing.
2. ACB Weight Pocket Adapters - Webbing pieces with grommet for attachment of weight pockets to the Cinch Adapter Plate.
3. D-ring Assembly - Allows the secure harness webbing to slide freely without affecting the position of the left-hip D-ring.
4. Light Retainer Assembly - Allows the secure harness webbing to slide freely without affecting the position of a light mounted to
the right hip.
5. Bolts Kit - Comes with four (two 1/4 - 20 by 3/8, two 1/4 - 20 by 5/8) SS bolts with weldmate nuts. Two wingnuts also come
with the Infinity System.
6. Quick-adjust Crotch Strap - Features a quick-adjust, sliding buckle for easy crotch strap sizing.
7. Doubles Bolt Extender - Extends a short bottom bolt, allowing the Cinch System to fit a variety of double tanks. Available in metric
(5 mm) or imperial (5 16/18 in.).
Replacement harness webbing is included in the Cinch Upgrade Kit to be certain it is free of blemishes and indentations to ensure
smooth operation of the Cinch assembly.

Selecting a Halcyon Inflatable
Halcyon offers a variety of Lift Devices and Surface Markers, allowing divers to select the best option
for their particular environment. Divers in calm conditions and/or on shallow dives often choose a small
Halcyon surface marker so the boat can easily identify their position. In rough or unpredictable seas
divers may carry a slightly larger inflatable, which increases visibility. Open bottom SMBs are very simple
designs with a low profile (because they do not need an OPV valve installed); however, these designs are
slightly more prone to tipping, which can induce a loss of gas while at the surface.
Closed-circuit bags eliminate the risk of gas loss at the surface and provide optional surface floatation
but must be filled with a low pressure inflator hose. Divers select a closed-circuit lift bag sized for their
particular need and egardless of your needs, it is likely Halcyon makes a reliable inflatable to serve your
situation.

the farthest reaches of the underwater world. More than a decade later, our designs continue to support
world record dives and vibrant international expeditions. All Halcyon products offer exploration grade
performance right off the shelf but we also provide several unique items for the most daring of divers.
For nearly ten years the RB80 rebreather has been a key ingredient to accomplishing some of the world’s
most extreme dives.
RB80
Rebreather
Halcyon’s extremely intuitive and reliable RB80™ operating system eliminates
distractions and reduces failures that can mean the difference between a
mission’s success or failure. The Halcyon rebreather supplies breathing gas
as required by the diver’s respiratory rate. Gas replenishment is mechanically
triggered by the diver’s breathing cycle so that a compromise in supply is
obvious and immediate. This mechanical system is less prone to failure and
easier to operate as compared to complex, electronically-controlled rebreathers.

Halcyon‘s Tech Services department with your questions. International customers should contact their local dealer or
refer to the Halcyon website for information regarding international distributor repair facilities.
Making a Warranty Claim
Halcyon does not require any authorizations for warranty repair; however, before sending any Halcyon equipment back
for a warranty claim, please be sure to print and complete the Halcyon Repair Form and a photocopy of the purchase receipt for your Halcyon product. If you have any questions, please contact Tech Services before sending in your product
([email protected]).
The Halcyon Warranty
Halcyon offers the original purchaser a one-year manufacturer’s warranty against material and workmanship defects on all of
its products. Beyond this standard coverage, Halcyon also offers the original purchaser two separate lifetime warranties, one
covering all RF-welded seams used in the construction of BC bladders and surface signaling and lift devices, and the second
covering Halcyon’s Explorer and Eos light canisters. In order to maintain both the one-year manufacturer’s warranty and the
lifetime warranty (where applicable), the original purchaser must retain their sales receipt.
Certain items, such as NiMH and SLA batteries, are covered by a 90-day conditional warranty that commences on the date
of customer purchase. Following Halcyon’s recommended use and service guidelines provided in the manuals is essential in
extending the practical lifetime of expendable items such as batteries and light bulbs.
Halcyon provides an owner’s manual with key products when they ship from the factory. Following the directions in these
manuals will ensure a lengthy service life while maintaining peak performance.
The Halcyon warranty is a global warranty. As long as the customer has a valid sales receipt from an authorized Halcyon dealer,
the warranty extends to all countries and shops, regardless of where the item was purchased. Any authorized Halcyon dealer
can handle warranty returns to the regional repai facility or factory with a valid receipt.
Unauthorized modifications/repairs, negligence, accidental damage, commercial use, or abuse are not covered by the warranty.
Floods, leaks, punctures, and broken bulbs, etc., are not covered by the warranty unless they are the direct result of a material
or workmanship defect.
