Fiestas Patrias will be held at the Town Center Plaza located at

The City offers a Paramedic Subscription
Program which allows residents the
opportunity to purchase paramedic fee
coverage at the moderate annual cost of
$60 a year. Without this program, residents
pay $369.25 per response.
The Paramedic Subscription Program
covers 9-1-1 emergency medical calls.
Ambulance/Emergency transportation is
NOT covered. The program’s fee does
not include ambulance costs. These
fees are set by the County of Los Angeles
and billed separately by the ambulance
company. The Santa Fe Springs
Department of Fire-Rescue provides
medical treatment to the patient but does
not have an ambulance for transportation;
a separate company provides that service.
With the $60 annual subscription, all
individuals residing at the address at the
time of membership are covered by the
program. Residents wishing to subscribe
can request to pay the annual fee by
adding a $5 monthly fee to their water
bill. Please call the Department of FireRescue at 944-9713 for more information
or visit your nearest City fire station to
pick up the subscription form.

The City of Santa Fe Springs has plans to
build a Fallen Firefighters Memorial at Fire
Headquarters, located at 11300 Greenstone
Avenue. Firefighters embarked on this
project hoping to create a memorial that
would help commemorate Santa Fe Springs
firefighters who lost their lives serving
courageously in the line of duty.
The memorial would stand as a tribute to four
members of the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department who dedicated
their life to public safety and served Santa Fe Springs honorably.
Firefighters are raising funds for this memorial through the sale of
two challenge coins. Challenge coins bear an organization’s insignia
or emblem and are commonly used by the military, fire, and police
departments, and are carried by the organization’s members. The
Department of Fire-Rescue invites the community to obtain a custom
designed coin and become part of the Fire Department’s family.
Both challenge coins have a minimum donation of $20 and are
available at all four of the City’s fire stations. Proceeds from the sales
of the challenge coins will be used for the construction of the Fallen
Firefighter Memorial. Be part of helping memorialize those members
of the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department who have lost their lives
protecting the members of our community. Supplies are limited.
