Farmers Market
Join us for Farmers Market in River Park every Tuesday from 5-9
PM from April through October in The Shops at River Park!
Located on the street that goes directly through the center of the
shopping center, the Farmers Market features go ods from local
artisans, produce from local farmers, various local fo ods and
beverages, and non-profit organizations from in and around the
Fresno area. From time to time there will also be live
entertainment, and kids entertainment such as clowns &

Star Party
Throughout 2014 the Central Valley
Astronomers will be joining us in River Park
once a month for their Star Party. Each
month on a Saturday Evening, CVA will be
bringing out their high powered telescopes
for the public to use. This highly energetic
group is greatly lo oking forward to
educating the public about astronomy! CVA
will be out on July 5 once the sun goes
down. Bring out the entire family for this
great opportunity!
Live Music
Every Thursday from 6-9m there will be live music in River Park,
in the event area near Teazer World Tea Market & Yoshino. Bring
out the entire family for a performance by a different musical
group each Thursday, all throughout Summer in River Park.

Animal Adoption Days
Salsa Dancing
Join the Valley Animal Center , the Central
California SPCA, & Miss Winkles Pet Adoption on

Adoption Days! Throughout the month of July, the
Valley Animal Center will be in River Park on July
5 & 19 , the CCSPCA will be out on July 12 & 26
and Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center will be out
on July 13 & 27 from 11am - 4pm. If you are lo oking
to adopt a new furry friend, join us in River Park on
any one of these days!
Happening in the event area located near Teazer World
Tea Market & Yoshino, the Outdo or Music and Dance
Social will take place 1 - 2 times a month. For the month of
July, the event is scheduled on July 7 & 21 from 7: 3 0PM10:00PM. The event features dancing styles such as
Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, & Urbano! For more

6AM - 7PM for an entire day full of fo od
collections! The event will be benefiting the
Community Fo od Bank, who has a huge need
of canned fo ods! During the Fo od Drive, the
Community Fo od Bank’s representatives will be
also taking monetary donations and donations
of hygienic products. The event will be taking
place in the heart of River Park, near the IMAX
theater, and will also consist of LIVE Radio
Remotes & LIVE media coverage all
throughouth the day. Join us and show support

Tips for Locking Your Bike in River Park
Tips on How to Lock Your Bike
First, keep in mind these rules:


Always lock your bike no matter how briefly you plan to leave it unattended.
Seek out well-lit public spaces, ideally in an area with video surveillance, and lock it to an immovable object.

Single-Lock Method




Remove the front wheel of your bike or make sure your lock includes the wheel (the rim, not the spokes) as well as the
bike frame.
Lock your bike to a fixed object that cannot be easily broken, cut or removed. Some thieves go so far as to remove bolts
from a signpost, lift it out of the ground and slip off the lock.
Position the key entry so it faces the ground.
Position your lock as high above the ground as possible to make it harder for a thief to find leverage.
Remove unsecured bike parts, such as the seat, lights or bags.
Multiple-Lock Method
 Use a U-lock or chain lock in conjunction with a cable lock. Chances are a thief will see 2
locks and move on to another victim.
 Set up the U-lock around your front (or rear) tire, frame and some fixed object.
Then snake the cable through your rear (or front) wheel, saddle rails, frame and the U-lock.
Bike Lock Tips









For maximum deterrence, remove your front wheel and use a medium to large U-lock to secure front wheel, rear wheel
and frame to a fixed object.
Choose a lock that leaves as little space as possible between the lock and the bike. A small space means thieves can't use
leverage to break off your lock.
Mark your bike and take a photo of it for future identification. Then register or license your bike at the local lawenforcement office. This process may involve a fee.
Take advantage of manufacturer theft-protection warranties by completing the paperwork.
Don't lock your bike through a chain-link fence—anyone with a set of wire cutters can easily snip the fence and steal your
bike. Don't lock your bike to wooden railings—thieves can break those, too.
Don't park your bike in dark alleys. Instead, select highly visible locations such as busy streets or in front of stores. Thieves
are less likely to bother with your bike if it's locked out in the open.
Avoid locking your bike in the same spot each day. Thieves "case" behavior patterns and thrive on predictability.
Lock your bike next to other bikes whenever possible.
Keep an extra key to your lock (or the number to a combination lock) in a safe place.
