TOM MCCONVILLE
TURANDOT
Tom ‘the Newcastle Fiddler’ is a legend of the
folk club and festival circuit. He has appeared
at Spalding Folk Club regularly over the years,
sometimes solo and sometimes in collaboration
with the likes of Kieran Halpin and Dab Hand.
He is loved as much for his singing as for his
distinctive fiddle playing and funny stories.
Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour has become
an annual highlight of the global arts calendar.
This year it’s the Puccini classic Turandot produced as a jaw-dropping outdoor
water-stage performance and featuring
an incredible version of Nessun Dorma

THE THREEPENNY OPERA
HAL CRUTTENDEN:
STRAIGHT OUTTA CRUTTENDEN
Mack the Knife is back in town.
Host of Live At The Apollo and star of Radio 4,
the great Hal is back ranting about the real evils
of the modern world - over sharing on social
media and the 5:2 diet. The more he complains
the funnier he gets.
National Theatre Live
London scrubs up for the coronation.
The thieves are on the make, the whores on
the pull, the police cutting deals to keep it all
out of sight. Mr and Mrs Peachum are looking
forward to a bumper day in the beggary
business, but their daughter didn’t come
home last night and it’s all about to kick off…
Rory Kinnear stars in a darkly comic new
take on Brecht and Weill’s raucous musical,
broadcast live from the London stage.

ASHLEY WASS - PIANO
MADE IN DAGENHAM
South Holland Concerts open their season with
a recital by the celebrated pianist Ashley Wass.
The only Briton to win the London International
Piano Competition and a prize-winner at the
Leeds Piano Competition, Ashley has made
numerous recordings and performed in major
concert halls worldwide as soloist, chamber
musician and with leading orchestras including the gala concert held in Buckingham
Palace for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
The West End’s recent smash arrives in
Spalding for the first time. The inspiring,
uplifting and true story of the women of
Ford Dagenham in 1968 is a hilarious tale
which is just as relevant today. Based on the
hit film of the same name with toe-tapping
new music, this will have you screaming
for women’s rights everywhere.

JOE BROWN
SARA GREY & KIERON MEANS
Uncut, solo and uncensored, this show will see

they bring passion and soul, and that instinctive
rapport that goes with being members
of the same family.
