need a complete refinishing job can be restored in a few minutes. White heat rings and
water marks, sun fade, oxidation, smoke damage and most other blemishes can be
quickly blended away. Before you go to the extreme of stripping it, try restoring it!

How does it work?
Restor-A-Finish is a unique finish-penetrating formula that contains a small amount
of stain combined with just the right amount of solvent and restoring oils, giving it the
ability to permanently restore the existing finish without removing, softening or
stripping it. Restor-A-Finish penetrates faded shellac, varnished and lacquered
finishes to bring back the original colour and lustre, restoring depth of grain, and
going much deeper than temporary “scratch cover” products. Restor-A-Finish
penetrates and permanently restores most wood finishes without removing any of
the existing finish. Restor-A-Finish works best when applied with a pad of white
cotton cloth. For severe white rings or oxidation use Superfine #0000 Steel Wool.
For carved surfaces, you may use a small paint brush or soft toothbrush. Avoid
pouring Restor-A-Finish directly onto the finish. When applying it be sure to select a
moderate area at a time - don’t attempt too large an area. Always wipe dry.
Use the colour chart on the back of this brochure to help select the Restor-A-Finish
shade that best matches the finish you want to restore.
Restor-A-Finish comes in eight wood colours plus Neutral: Maple-Pine, Golden Oak,
Cherry, Walnut, Mahogany, Dark Walnut, Dark Oak, Ebony Brown. Neutral is clear.
Precautions:
Do not apply polyurethane over a Restor-A-Finished surface.
Do not apply Restor-A-Finish to imitation wood finishes or use as a wood stain.
Be careful to protect fabric, carpets, or linoleum when applying Restor-A-Finish, as it
may leave a permanent stain. If spilling does occur, immediately scrub area with
soap and water or Howard Clean-A-Finish and wipe dry.
We now offer Restor-A-Finish in a small kit complete with Orange Oil, Feed-N-Wax,
Steel Wool and one FixStix (hole and crack filling wax stick).

Feed-N-Wax uses the power of real orange oil along with carnauba
wax and beeswax to beautify and protect. Use Feed-N-Wax
whenever the wood finish looks faded or dry. It enhances the natural
beauty and depth of grain in all woods, finished or unfinished.
Feed-N-Wax was developed to be the perfect follow-up to
Restor-A-Finish.
Prevent Drying and Cracking
Use Feed-N-Wax to preserve wood finishes and keep the finish from
drying out and cracking. Over time, wood furniture, cabinets, and
especially antiques, tend to “dry out” and fade. Feed-N-Wax helps
introduce polishing oils that “feed” the wood, while leaving behind a
protective coating of Brazilian Carnauba Wax and beeswax.

While the name may be a bit obvious, Restor-A-Shine
literally does what it says and is an excellent addition
to Howard’s veteran Restor-A-Finish. Restor-A-Shine
completes the restoration job when it comes to the
surface of an originally high shine wood finish.
Suitable for antiques as well as modern furniture
finishes Restor-A-Shine comes as Polishing
Compound and Burnishing Cream. Both products
utilise extremely fine polishing powders blended with
orange oil to restore the brilliance to the look and the
smoothness to the feel of a high shine wood finish.
