1. LINE DESCRIPTION
The bobbing machine consists of the following units:
- 1 PAY OFF (LAYOUT POS. 57): unit with
movable frames, self winding tangential type
motorised, in electric axis with the bobbing head
for reels from 1250 to 2250 mm. of diam.
Lifting and closure of the pintles are driven by a
motor gear box with electric and mechanic torque
limiter.
Bobbin max. width: 1500 mm.; bobbin min. width:
1000 mm.
Bobbin max. weight: 10.000 kilos.
Safety guards included.
- 1 ELECTRONIC CENTRER (LAYOUT POS. 50): controlling the pay-off translation to let the
cable enter the accumulator without any misalignment. This unit will be supplied with a device
having a sensor able to detect the cable.
- 1 ACCUMULATOR (LAYOUT POS.51): 8 meters long; it is mounted horizontally above the
bobbing machine head. It is able to accumulate approximately 100 meters of cables. It will be
supplied with round race pulleys having a diam. of 600 mm.
The accumulator is driven by an A.C. motor electronically synchronised with the bobbing
head. In the upper part a brake is housed. It blocks the cable in case of breaking. This
device avoids the cable to be re-inserted in the accumulator.
This counter meters, consisting of two lower aluminium wheels coated with ceramic and two
upper plastic contrast wheels. The device is provided with a dynamo checking the linear
speed as well as with an encoder used for the counting meters.
At the meter-counter exit there is a ZUMBACH spark tester type AST 15 HF – 19A ECC
Rules, in accordance with BS 5099 – NEMA WC-56 – UTE C32 – 022 standards;
- 1 DEVICE: to expel defective spools after receiving the signal from the spark tester.

1 THREE-AXIS LUMP DETECTOR (LAYOUT POS. 6):
-
1 AUTOMATIC CHARGER (LAYOUT POS. 133): It consists of a slopping plane of
1000 x 4000 mm. allowing the storage of 40 empty spools having both a diam. and a width of
400 mm. A robotised system takes the empty spool and places it between the bobbing
head’s centerings. During this phase the bobbing head’s centerings aren’t operating.

1 CONSOLE (LAYOUT POS.54): containing all instruments to operate manually or
automatically; a PC SIEMENS 670 to read easily set parameters and a keyboard to key in. It
is possible to put the PC on company network like ETHERNET……, the maintenance
programme as well. If the PC panel is connected to a printer (optional) you can have the
production report as well as the alarms of the line. All functions of this machine are controlled
by this console.

1 ELECTRIC CONTROL CABINET (LAYOUT POS.53): placed under the accumulator.
All electronic, electric instruments and converters are housed in it. The command electrical
system is made by PLC SIEMENS calculators. Thanks to the electronic system it is also
possible to feed the cable directly the bobbing head, without passing through the accumulator
(TORQUE CONTROLE SYSTEM).

reels from 350 up to 630 mm. of diam., max.
width 475 mm.
It can wind cables from 2,5 up to 14 mm. of
diam.

Before sending spools to the pallet unit, they are automatically wrapped by using an
extensible PVC film.
In this machine is also housed:

1 DIGITAL CABLE GUIDE: type PS 2 with run regulation directly from the control
bench, according to the spool width.
DRIVEN BY BRUSHLESS TECHNOLOGY

1 SPOOL TILTER (LAYOUT POS. 72):
- 1 AUTOMATIC PRE-PRINTED LABEL DISPENSER:
- 1 CONVEYOR BELT (LAYOUT POS. 199):

1 ROLLER 90°(LAYOUT POS. 33):
- 1 PERIMETRAL WRAPPING MACHINE (LAYOUT POS. 46): this unit is completely
automatic and has been studied to apply adhesive tape on the outer diam. of the spool. This
operation makes packaging more presentable.
Adhesive tape max. height: 75 mm.
Please be informed that the adhesive tape’s position can be adjusted.
- 1 AUTOMATIC ROBOTISED 4 AXES PALLET UNIT (LAYOUT POS. 240): suitable for
Euro pallet 800 x 1200 mm.
Both coils and spools, coming from our two lines, are taken by this pallet unit and placed each
on their appropriate pallet.
The automatic robotised pallet can moreover place a cardboard sheet on the pallet, take the
empty pallets and place them suitably for the receipt of both coils and spools.
A special pliers will arrange the picking up of the coils, spools, cardboard sheets and pallets.
All programmes as well as A.C. motors will be driven by an electrical panel.(DRIVEN BY
C.N.C. TECHNOLOGY)
- INK JET PRINTER MACHINE
This ink jet printer can print both logo and incremental meters, from 0 up to 100, or as you
like. If it is combined with a PS cable marking device, it is able to arrange a very precise cut on
the cable marked point.
As a consequence of the above operation, the final products are packed always with precise
length.
