WHEREAS,inaccordancewithArticleVII,Sections4and7oftheConstitutionofthe
ChickasawNation,theChickasawTribalLegislatureshallenactrulesand
regulationspertainingtotheChickasawNation,andshallmakedecisions
pertauungtotheacquisition,leasing,dispositionandmanagementofreal
property,subjecttofederallawand
WHEREAS,inaccordancewithArticleXI,
Section1oftheConstitutionoftheChickasaw
Nation,theGovernorshallperformalldutiesappertainingtotheOfficeofChief
Executive.HeshallsignofficialpapersonbehalfoftheNation,and
WHEREAS,fundsareavailabletoassisttheChickasawNationinitseffortstoaddressthe
needsandcircumstancesoftheChickasawNationindealingwithvictimsof
violentcrimes,and
VVHEREAS,theChickasawNationseekstoadministerthisprogramandthefundsavailable
fromtheOklahomaDistrictAttorney'
sCouncilbymeansofagrantforthe
operationoftheprogram,
NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVED,thattheChickasawTribalLegislaturehereby
approvestheChickasawNation'
sapplicationtoapplyfortheVOCACrimeVictimAssistance
grantthroughtheOklahomaDistrictAttorney'
sCouncil.
ExecutedinregularsessionoftheChickasawTribalLegislature,meetingatAda,Oklahoma,on
February15,2002,byavoteof12ayes,Qnays,and
0abstentions.
