Thank You Volunteers
These Tax Preparers are Amazing
Over 750 hours donated to YOU!
“I cannot thank them enough, it is such a wonderful service to have
them help with my taxes.”
“They are so knowledgeable, they are great volunteers.”
“Thanks for offering this service at the DPC Community Center.”
These are just a few of the quotes I have heard about the tax preparers who service the community. They come in early, stay late and try
and help as many people as they can. Why? Because they are talented,
intelligent people who want to give back. They all have interesting
backgrounds and past-professional careers. Interests now include a motorcyle rider to a musician to a traveler, they are having fun...even when
they are doing taxes. (Not everyone enjoys numbers, so it is a wonderful
thing that this group does.)

Sometimes we are in situations that make you wonder about whether or not you could be in danger.
“Am I safe going there?” “What would I do if...?”
Do you hesitate to go out at night because of fear
of someone hurting you? Do you feel afraid of being attacked and being helpless, even in your own
home? I think at one point, we all do.

Pickleball - TWO ADDED PLAY TIMES
This popular game is taking America by storm. The court is smaller than tennis and
the game uses a solid paddle with a whiffle ball. Pickleball. It’s a word that wasn’t
in my vocabulary until a few years ago, a sport that I knew nothing about until we
visited Orlando, Florida . Pickleball is a sport that can best be described as a cross between tennis and ping pong. It’s fast and requires agility, a good pair of court shoes,
and quick reflexes. To play a proper game you will need the aforementioned court
shoes, pickleball court, paddle, and a ball. The nets, rackets and balls are provided.
The game takes place in DPC Community Center Gym. Cost is $3 per session.

Are you sure that your eyes are as healthy as they
should be? Many eye ailments that can cause
blindness have no symptoms in their earliest
stages. To protect your vision now and into the future, it is important to get regular, comprehensive
eye exams.
The best way to be sure you have good eye health
is with a complete eye exam. Especially, if you are
one of the more than 23 million Americans age
18 and older who, according to a national survey
conducted by the National Eye Institute (NEI), have
never had their eyes examined.
According to the NEI, the most common reason
for not getting an exam is assuming that you don’t
have an eye problem. Call and make an appointment today...save your sight!

All Saints Lutheran Church-run by volunteers!
Fare For All buys fresh produce and frozen meat in
bulk from wholesalers and manufactures to find the
best deals available. Volunteers at the warehouse
pre-pack the produce and meat into food packages
that range in price from $10 – $25. These packages
are for sale at all of the Fare For All locations. To visit
a Fare For All location, there is no need to register
in advance or fill out any paperwork. Fare For All is
open to everyone – because the food is purchased
in bulk, the more people who participate the better.
Fare For All tries to fill the trucks for each location,
so it is very rare that the program runs out of food.
Visit the locations once a month. Fare For All accepts cash, credit, debit, and EBT cards.
