HISTORY F or over fifty years Archbishop Rummel High School has educated Lasallian young men tradition of in the faith, community, and service, helping them to develop their unique talents to the best of their abilities. Joining the worldwide community of Lasallian Education, Archbishop Rummel High School again has Christian Brothers leading and teaching at the school. The Christian Brothers order is the largest teaching order in the Catholic Church and has schools today in over 80 countries. ST. JOHN BAPTIST DE LA SALLE HONORS SCHOLARSHIP $1,800 Each Year Requirements: 90 to 94 percentile on placement test, “A/B” work at elementary school, recommendation from current school principal, and must maintain a 3.5 GPA in the Honors Program. Dual Enrollment In cooperation with Southeastern Louisiana University, Archbishop Rummel High School students complete college-level courses. These courses are taught by Archbishop Rummel High School teachers on the Archbishop Rummel High School campus, in partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University professors. The students earn both high school and college credit that goes on the Archbishop Rummel High School transcript and on a Southeastern Louisiana University transcript. The credit is transferrable to all public universities and colleges in the state of Louisiana and to many other colleges - including private universities in Louisiana and colleges outside the state. The college credit counts towards the student’s eventual college grade point average. Technology Archbishop Rummel High School follows a “bring your own iPad” to school policy. Students connect to the fully monitored network on campus and use the devices inside and outside the classroom. Inspired by these two men, the campus ministry program offers the Archbishop Rummel students the opportunity to discover and deepen their faith by engaging in frequent and varied religious experiences and programs. Through the guidance of the campus ministry program, the students of Archbishop Rummel High School have the foundation to become men of deep faith who are bold in their faith, strong in their commitment, and unafraid to live their beliefs. Service creates possibilities for our students to be agents of compassion and change in the local community. In the course of fulfilling service requirements, it is the school’s hope that our students’ hearts and minds respond to the call of those in need.
